Congratulations to Michael Casola '98 on his wedding last weekend!
It was a special reunion as many of his Saint John's School classmates came together to celebrate, sharing old stories, reliving cherished memories, and creating new ones. The evening was also filled with loving memories of Michael's mother, Kathy Casola, a beloved member of our faculty whose impact on the Saint John's community continues to be felt.
We wish Michael and his bride a lifetime of happiness, love, and wonderful memories ahead.

A few weeks ago, while the Class of 2030 celebrated their 8th Grade Prom, these proud SJS alumni parents took a moment to celebrate a milestone that feels especially meaningful, watching their children create memories at the very school where their own journeys began.

At this year’s 12th Grade Commencement Exercises, we were proud to continue one of Saint John’s School’s most meaningful traditions: honoring our Legacy Families.
Each year, alumni parents are invited to place the Alumni Legacy Cord on their graduating child, symbolizing the connection between generations of Hurricanes and the lasting impact of our school community.
This year, we celebrated 8 alumni families, making the moment even more special as parents and children shared the stage together. Seeing one generation of Hurricanes send another into the world is a powerful reminder that once a Hurricane, always a Hurricane!

Path of a Hurricane: Alumni in Action
Congratulations to Sabina Liesl Collazo '12, who recently concluded a celebrated run as Maria in West Side Story at The Gateway Playhouse!
Sabina's journey began right here at Saint John's School, where she first stepped onto the stage in school musicals at just 9 years old. From voice lessons at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music to earning degrees from the University of Michigan in Musical Theatre and Management, she has built an impressive career on stage and screen.
Beyond her artistic achievements, Sabina has remained deeply connected to Puerto Rico, helping lead Hurricane Maria relief efforts as a founding member of Voices for Puerto Rico and Relief4PR. Today, she continues to make her mark as an actress and content creator based in New York City.
Her recent portrayal of Maria earned rave reviews, including from fellow alumnus Tony Vargas '94, who described her performance as "magnificent" and said she has "the voice of an angel."
From the SJS stage to leading roles in acclaimed productions, Sabina continues to inspire us all. We are proud to call her a Hurricane!

Last week, we had the honor of hosting our Alumni Legacy Breakfast celebrating the graduating seniors and parents who are also proud graduates of Saint John’s School.
It was a beautiful morning filled with memories, laughter, and heartfelt stories as the families shared their lifelong connection to SJS. Hearing parents reflect on their own years as students, and seeing their children now preparing to graduate from the very same school, was incredibly special.
One of the most touching parts of the morning was listening to our seniors talk about what they will miss most: the friendships, the traditions, the sense of community, and the feeling of home that Saint John’s has given them throughout the years.
Thank you to all of our legacy families for being such an important part of the SJS story.
