Após três meses de trabalho intensivo, quatro equipas irão apresentar os seus projetos tecnológicos desenvolvidos com o apoio da NTT DATA, demonstrando como a investigação pode evoluir para soluções com impacto real no mercado e na sociedade.

Durante a sessão será ainda atribuído o Prémio António Brandão Vasconcelos à equipa vencedora.

Quando o Nuno Frutuoso entrou no Lab2Market@Técnico com a tecnologia que viria a dar origem à FabInventors, havia uma patente, investigação financiada e uma prova de conceito.

Hoje, a FabInventors desenvolve impressoras 3D de grande formato produzidas em Portugal e trabalha diretamente com aplicações industriais.

10 Years of Lab2Market@Técnico 🚀

When Nuno Frutuoso joined Lab2Market@Técnico with the technology that would later become FabInventors, there was already a patent, funded research and a proof of concept.

What was still missing was understanding how to turn that technology into a business.

“We realised that technology alone is not enough — what matters is solving a real problem for someone.”

Throughout the programme, the team left the lab, spoke with potential customers and started approaching the technology much more pragmatically.

Today, FabInventors develops large-format 3D printers manufactured in Portugal and works directly with industrial applications.

Quando a equipa da GTechPlasma entrou no programa, já tinha uma tecnologia inovadora capaz de produzir grafeno de elevada qualidade de forma sustentável.

O desafio já não era a ciência.

Foi durante o Lab2Market@Técnico que a equipa deixou de olhar para o grafeno como uma commodity e começou a procurar aplicações de elevado valor acrescentado.

Hoje, a GTechPlasma desenvolve materiais avançados para absorção de radar e radiação eletromagnética, conta com projetos financiados pela NATO e prepara a industrialização da sua tecnologia.

When the GTechPlasma team joined the programme, they already had an innovative technology capable of producing high-quality graphene in a sustainable way.

The challenge was no longer the science.

It was understanding who actually needed the technology.

"We had a powerful technology in our hands, but we still needed to answer the most difficult question: who really needs our graphene, and why?"

During Lab2Market@Técnico, the team stopped looking at graphene as a commodity and started searching for high-value applications.

Today, GTechPlasma develops advanced materials for radar and electromagnetic radiation absorption, is involved in NATO-funded projects and is preparing the industrial scale-up of its technology.
