Hadith Of The Day
🔰The Sunnah Supplication for Protection from the Evil Eye

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ يُعَوِّذُ الْحَسَنَ وَ الْحُسَيْنَ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا وَ يَقُوْلُ: اِنَّ اَبَاكُمَا كَانَ يُعَوِّذُ بِهَا اِسْمَاعِيْلَ، وَ اِسْحَاقَ اَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰہَ التَّآمَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَّ هَآمَّةٍ وَّ مِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَّامَّةٍ.

(Sahih Bukhari: Hadith No 3371)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Ibn e Abbas رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا narrated: "The Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ used to seek Allah's protection for Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا, and he would say: Your noble forefather, Ibrahim عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامُ, also used these words to seek Allah's protection for Isma'il عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامُ and Ishaq عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامُ. (Translation of the supplication): I seek protection through the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil, every poisonous creature, and every harmful evil eye."

🔰The Foretelling of the Martyrdom of Sayyiduna Imam Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ During His Childhood

عَنْ اُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھَا: اَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ اِضْطَجَعَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَهُوَ خَآئِرُ النَّفْسِ وَفِیْ يَدِهٖ تُرْبَةٌ حَمْرَآءُ يُقَلِّبُهَا، فَقُلْتُ: مَا ھٰذِہٖ التُّرْبَۃُ یَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ: اَخْبَرَنِیْ جِبْرِيْلُ عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامْ، اَنَّ هٰذَا يُقْتَلُ بِاَرْضِ الْعِرَاقِ لِلْحُسَيْنِ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ فَقُلْتُ لِجِبْرِيْلَ عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامْ: اَرِنِیْ تُرْبَةَ الْاَرْضِ الَّتِیْ يُقْتَلُ بِهَا، فَهٰذِهٖ تُرْبَتُهَا.

(Al Mu'jam al Kabir by al Tabarani: Hadith No 2821)

Translation:
Sayyidatuna Umm Salamah رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھَا narrates: "One day, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ was lying down. He then got up in a distressed state, and in his blessed hand was some red soil which he was turning over. I submitted, O Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ! What is this soil? The Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ replied: Jibril عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامْ informed me that (my grandson) Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ will be martyred on the land of Iraq. I said, O Jibril عَلَیْہِ السَّلَامْ, show me the soil of the place where he will be martyred. So this is that soil."

Hadith Of The Day
🔰The Fast of the 9th and 10th of Muharram

عَنْ عَبْدَ اللّٰہِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا يَقُوْلُ: حِيْنَ صَامَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَاشُوْرَآءَ وَاَمَرَ بِصِيَامِهٖ، قَالُوْا: يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ، اِنَّهٗ يَوْمٌ تُعَظِّمُهُ الْيَهُوْدُ وَالنَّصَارٰى، فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ: فَاِذَا كَانَ الْعَامُ الْمُقْبِلُ اِنْ شَآءَ اللّٰہُ، صُمْنَا الْيَوْمَ التَّاسِعَ، قَالَ: فَلَمْ يَاْتِ الْعَامُ الْمُقْبِلُ، حَتّٰى تُوُفِّیَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ.

(Sahih Muslim: Hadith No 1134)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا narrates: "When the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ observed the fast of the Day of Ashura himself and instructed others to fast on that day, the people said, O Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ! This is a day that the Jews and Christians also honor. The Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ then said: When the next year comes, we shall also fast on the ninth day. The narrator says: Before the next year arrived, the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ departed from this worldly life."

🔰The Virtue of Fasting in Muharram

عَنْ اَبِیْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ: اَفْضَلُ الصِّيَامِ بَعْدَ رَمَضَانَ شَهْرُ اللّٰہِ الْمُحَرَّمُ، وَ اَفْضَلُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَرِيْضَةِ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ.

(Sahih Muslim: Hadith No 1163)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ said: "After the fasts of Ramadan, the most virtuous fasts are those observed in Allah’s month of Muharram, and after the obligatory prayers, the most virtuous prayer is the night prayer (Tahajjud)."

Hadith Of The Day
🔰The Reward for Loving the Pure Five (Panjtan Pak)

عَنْ عَلِیِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ اَبِيْهٖ، عَنْ جَدِّهٖ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمْ: اَنَّ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ اَخَذَ بِيَدِ الْحَسَنِ وَ الْحُسَيْن رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا، فَقَالَ: مَنْ اَحَبَّ هٰذَيْنِ وَ اَبَاهُمَا وَ اُمَّهُمَا، کَانَ مَعِیْ فِیْ دَرَجَتِیْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

(Al Mu'jam al Sagheer by al Tabarani: Hadith No 900)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali bin Husayn (Ali ibn Husayn) narrates from his father (Husayn ibn Ali) and his grandfather (Ali ibn Abi Talib) رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمْ that: "The Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ took the hands of Hasan ibn Ali and Husayn ibn Ali and said: "Whoever loves me, these two (Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُمَا), their father (Ali ibn Abi Talib رَضِیَ اللّٰہ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُ), and their mother (Fatimah al Zahra رَضِیَ اللّٰہ تَعَالٰی عَنْھَا), will be with me on the Day of Judgment, at my rank (station)."

🔰Love for the Pure Ahl al Bayt: A Foundation of Faith

عَنِ الْعَبَاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِیَ اللّٰہ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: کُنَّا نَلْقَی النَّفَرَ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، وَهُمْ يَتَحَدَّثُوْنَ فَيَقْطَعُوْنَ حَدِيْثَهُمْ، فَذَکَرْنَا ذٰلِکَ لِرَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: مَا بَالُ اَقْوَامٍ يَّتَحَدَّثُوْنَ فَاِذَا رَاَوْا اَلرَّجُلَ مِنْ اَهْلِ بَيْتِیْ قَطَعُوْا حَدِيْثَهُمْ وَاللّٰہِ، لَا يَدْخُلُ قَلْبَ رَجُلٍ اَلْاِيْمَانُ حَتّٰی يُحِبَّهُمْ لِلّٰہِ وَلِقَرَابَتِهِمْ مِنِّیْ.

(Al Mustadrak Ali Sahihain: Hadith No 6960)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib رَضِیَ اللّٰہ تَعَالٰی عَنْهُمَا narrates: "Whenever we joined a gathering of Quraysh while they were engaged in conversation, they would stop talking. We mentioned this matter in the blessed presence of the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ. The Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَآلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ said: What has happened to the people that when they see someone from my Ahl al Bayt, they stop their conversation? By Allah, the Lord of Majesty! Faith will not enter the heart of a person until he loves them for the sake of Allah and because of their kinship to me."

Hadith Of The Day
🔰Hold Firmly to the Book of Allah and the Ahl al Bayt

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ: اِنِّیْ تَارِكٌ فِيْکُمْ خَلِيْفَتَيْنِ: کِتَابَ اللّٰہِ حَبْلٌ مَّمْدُوْدٌ مَّا بَيْنَ السَّمَآءِ وَالْاَرْضِ. اَوْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَآءِ اِلَی الْاَرْضِ، وَعِتْرَتِیْ اَهْلَ بَيْتِیْ، وَاِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَّتَفَرَّقَا حَتّٰی يَرِدَا عَلَیَّ الْحَوْضَ.

(Musnad Ahmad: Hadith No 21578)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Zaid bin Sabit رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ narrates that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ said: "Indeed, I am leaving among you two successors (or trusts). One is the Book of Allah, which is like a rope stretched between the heaven and the earth, and the other is my ‘Itrah (family), that is, my Ahl al Bayt. These two shall never separate from one another until they come to me at the Pond of Kawthar."

🔰The Beloved Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ ’s Love for Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللّٰہِ بْنِ مَسْعُوْدٍ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ قَالَ: کَانَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّیْ وَالْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ يَثِبَانِ عَلٰی ظَهْرِهٖ، فَيُبَاعِدُهُمَا النَّاسُ، فَقَالَ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ: دَعُوْهُمَا، بِاَبِیْ هُمَا وَاُمِّیْ، مَنْ اَحَبَّنِیْ فَلْيُحِبَّ هٰذَيْنِ.

(Sahih Ibn Hibban: Hadith No 6970)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masood رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ narrates: "The Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ was performing Salah when both Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا climbed onto his blessed back. The people tried to move them away, but the Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ said: Leave these two alone. May my mother and father be sacrificed for them! Whoever loves me should also love these two."

🔰The Sunnah Method of Making Du‘a and the Glad Tidings of Acceptance

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللّٰہِ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ اُصَلِّی وَالنَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ، وَاَبُوْ بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْھُمَا مَعَهٗ، فَلَمَّا جَلَسْتُ بَدَأْتُ بِالثَّنَآءِ عَلَى اللّٰہِ ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى النَّبِیِّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ دَعَوْتُ لِنَفْسِیْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ : سَلْ تُعْطَهْ، سَلْ تُعْطَهْ.

(Sunan Tirmidhi: Hadith No 593)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ, the jurist of this Ummah, narrated: "I was performing Salah while the Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ was present, and Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al Siddiq رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ and Hazrat Sayyiduna Umar al Faruq رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ were also in his blessed company. When I finished the prayer and sat down, I first praised and glorified Allah Almighty, then sent salutations upon the Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ, and thereafter made supplication for myself. The Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ then said: Make du‘a! Ask, and whatever good of this world and the Hereafter you ask for, Allah Almighty will grant it to you."

Hadith Of The Day
🔰The Palace of Ameer al Mu’minin Sayyiduna Umar ibn al Khattab رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ in Paradise

عَنْ اَبِیْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ جُلُوْسٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ: بَيْنَمَا اَنَا نَآئِمٌ رَاَيْتُنِیْ فِی الْجَنَّةِ، فَاِذَا اِمْرَاَةٌ تَتَوَضَّاُ اِلٰى جَانِبِ قَصْرٍ، فَقُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هٰذَا؟ قَالُوْا: هٰذَا لِعُمَرَ، فَذَكَرْتُ غَيْرَتَكَ فَوَلَّيْتُ مُدْبِرًا، فَبَكٰى عُمَرُ وَهُوَ فِی الْمَجْلِسِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: اَوَعَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ اَغَارُ.

(Sahih Bukhari: Hadith No 5227)

Translation:
Hazrat Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ narrates that they were sitting in the company of the Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ when the Noble Prophet صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ said: "In a dream, I saw myself in Paradise. There I saw a woman performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, Whose palace is this? An angel replied, It belongs to Umar ibn al Khattab رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ. Then, remembering your ghayrah (protective sense of honor), I turned back and did not enter. Sayyiduna Umar رَضِیَ اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ. who was present in the gathering, began to weep and submitted: O Messenger of Allah صَلَّی اللّٰہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ! Would I ever have a sense of protective honor concerning you?"
