๐ A proud moment for our girls!
Sherborne Qatar School For Girls has been recognised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for our work on "My Values Shape My Identity / ููููู
ูู ุชูุฑูุณูู
ู ูููููููุชูู."
Values-based education sits at the very heart of the Sherborne ethos. We believe character and good values matter just as much as academic excellence, and that nurturing them is how we help every pupil grow into a confident, principled young woman ready to give back to her community.
This year, our pupils and our Value Ambassadors led five meaningful initiatives, each one helping to build a generation that is aware, confident and proud of its identity:
๐ฑ Fitrah : embracing and respecting our God-given nature and Islamic values.
๐ป Safe Sailing : using technology safely, responsibly and for good.
๐ถ๐ฆ Aseel : nurturing belonging, pride and service to our nation.
๐ค Ikhaa : spreading respect, tolerance and a school free from bullying.
๐ Your Self is a Trust : caring for our physical and mental wellbeing.
Receiving this certificate of recognition at the Ministry is a celebration of the values our girls live by every day.
We could not be prouder of them. ๐

Thinking. Building. Creating.
For our Key Stage 2 pupils at Sherborne Qatar Prep School, Bani Hajer, technology is not something they simply use. It is something they explore, build and understand.
Through ICT and Robotics, pupils are immersed in practical challenges that bring science, technology and design together. From constructing electrical circuits to assembling robotic models, they work collaboratively to test ideas, solve problems and discover how individual components combine to create something bigger.
These hands-on experiences transform concepts from the page into something tangible, giving pupils the opportunity to experiment, create and see their learning in action.

Not every lesson begins with explanation. Some begin with observation.
In Year 2 Science at Sherborne School, Mall of Qatar, pupils are exploring plant growth through practical investigation - noticing changes, asking questions, and beginning to understand how living things respond to their environment.
Through hands-on learning, they are building the foundations of scientific thinking: curiosity shaped by evidence, and understanding grounded in experience. Science becomes more than a subject, it becomes a way of exploring the world around them.

Through hands-on STEAM learning, robotics and coding, our pupils at Sherborne Qatar School for Boys are encouraged to think beyond the obvious, explore different solutions and bring their ideas to life.
As they build, test and refine their projects, they develop critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills while learning the value of perseverance and collaboration. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to learn something new, improve a design or discover a better way forward.
Supported by teachers who guide, challenge and encourage them throughout the process, our boys learn that mistakes are not setbacks but an essential part of innovation.
At Sherborne we believe real learning doesn't happen when pupils are simply given answers. It happens when they are given the opportunity to explore, create and discover for themselves.

Mathematics is about more than finding the right answer. It is about curiosity, problem-solving, perseverance and learning to think in different ways.
At Sherborne Qatar Prep School, Bani Hajer, our Maths Day celebrations gave parents the opportunity to step into the classroom and experience that learning journey alongside their children. Together, they tackled challenges, explored mathematical strategies and discovered the many ways maths encourages critical thinking and creativity.
Throughout the week, pupils had been investigating patterns, solving increasingly complex problems and developing the confidence to explain their thinking. Maths Day provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase that progress, with pupils proudly sharing their learning and demonstrating the skills they have been building over time.
At Sherborne, we believe the strongest learning happens when school and home work together. Events like these not only deepen pupils' understanding of mathematics but also foster confidence, collaboration and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
