This year, close to 4,000 students across Qatar came together to take part in one of the world’s largest school-based mathematics competitions — celebrating logic, creativity, curiosity, and the joy of problem-solving.

From classrooms across the country to schools like Nord Anglia Al Khor, it has been inspiring to witness students challenge themselves beyond the textbook and experience mathematics in a different way.

Did you participate in IKMC 2026?

We're delighted to share that DESS students participated in the International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition (IKMC) for the first time this week!

🎓 182 pupils from Years 1 to 8 tackled this prestigious worldwide competition that has run since 1994 and now engages more than 7 million students in over 120 countries annually.

Seeing so many young learners embrace the challenge with such focus and enthusiasm was truly inspiring. We look forward to sharing their results soon.
