🌲⛺ Challenge, resilience, and growth in the heart of Transylvania! Our DofE students completed a four-day Outward Bound expedition in Sovata, navigating wilderness trails, wild camping, building shelters, cooking outdoors, and developing essential survival skills. Beyond the adventure, they strengthened leadership, teamwork, and lasting friendships through shared challenges and reflection. Guided by dedicated assessors and trainers, each participant took a significant step toward their DofE goals while creating unforgettable memories. 💚

Making a Difference Beyond Borders 🌍💧🇺🇬

We are incredibly proud of our outstanding Year 12 students, Safa K., Alexa D., Alex L., and Alex Z., whose dedication and compassion have helped bring clean, safe drinking water to communities in Uganda.

Through a student-led fundraising initiative, supported by the ISB community, they successfully raised funds for the construction of two wells. Thanks to their hard work and commitment, more than 10,000 people will benefit from secure access to clean water.

The photos, taken just days ago by our partner organization, the Nile Humanitarian Development Agency, show the real impact of this project and the lives being transformed.

This achievement is a powerful reflection of ISB’s HERO values and demonstrates how young people can create meaningful change in the world. ⭐

Celebrating Excellence at Elisabeta Palace! ✨

We are incredibly proud of our 13 ISB students and alumni who were awarded the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s International Gold Award on 18 June 2026 at Elisabeta Palace, in the presence of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown.

This remarkable achievement reflects dedication, perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to personal growth through volunteering, skills development, physical activity, adventurous journeys, and residential projects.

Ten months. Ten meaningful conversations. One incredible group of young people. 💙

Through our Life Skills programme, KS3 students explored important topics including mental health, identity, digital safety, exam stress, and the challenges and opportunities of adolescence.

Each session reminded us why these conversations matter and highlighted the thoughtfulness, curiosity, and resilience of our students. We are proud of every young person who participated, shared their perspectives, asked questions, and embraced the journey of personal growth.

A special thank you to our Secondary School Counsellor Department for leading this valuable initiative and creating a safe space for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and learning throughout the year.
