Mount Kigali University students were among hundreds of young people who turned up at the Kigali Convention Centre for the Capital Markets Youth Forum 2026, organised by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) in partnership with the Rwanda Stock Exchange, RwandaNational Investment Trust Ltd, and the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation (LuxDev).
For our students, it was a chance to hear directly from the people who regulate and run Rwanda's capital markets. Final-year Public Relations and Communication student Roxane shared her takeaway: "It was a very insightful event. I got to learn more about what the Capital Market Authority does, and I picked up real insights on how to save my money better."
The forum also marked the climax of the Capital Market University Challenge bootcamp, with the overall winner awarded an investment portfolio worth Rwf 1,500,000 in capital market shares.
