The Blessings & Story of Ashura (10th Muharram) 🌟
The Prophet ﷺ said: *"Fasting the day of Ashura, I hope from Allah that it will expiate the sins of the previous year."* [Sahih Muslim]
Why do we fast?
When the Prophet ﷺ migrated to Madinah, he found the Jewish community fasting to celebrate the day Allah saved Prophet Musa (A.S.) and the Children of Israel from Pharaoh. The Prophet ﷺ declared, "We have more right to Musa than you," and commanded Muslims to fast.
Sunnah Tip: It is highly recommended to fast the 9th and 10th of Muharram together.
May Allah accept our fasts and forgive our past sins. Ameen. 🤲✨
