What an incredible day it was!
Yesterday, a group of our amazing La Retraite pupils and teachers stepped out in full force for the NCC Kids Carnival, celebrating Seychelles 50th Anniversary, Independence Day with energy, grace and pure Seychellois pride! 🇸🇨🎉
Dressed in breathtaking traditional Moutya costumes — vibrant flowing skirts, white tied tops and bright colourful accessories — our pupils lit up the streets as they proudly represented the 3rd Republic under the dazzling theme of Moutya Modern. 🥁🌺
A perfect celebration of who we are — rooted in our culture, stepping boldly into the future!
A massive Well Done to every single pupil in the group who performed with such joy, confidence and beauty — you were absolutely outstanding! 🌟
And a heartfelt Thank You to the teachers who accompanied them and worked tirelessly to make this moment possible. We are so proud of each and every one of you! 🙏

Our pupils had an unforgettable Children’s Day exploring the coast guard facilities. Special thanks to Lt Col J. Raoul for making the visit possible, and to Lt R. Benstrong, L/Cpl Belle R., and Pte Delorie P. for being such fantastic guides from start to finish.
It was a truly educational experience that inspired all our young learners! 🎒✨

Celebrate the joy of childhood! 🎈✨
Our Children’s Day celebration at La Retraite School was nothing short of magical. This year, our incredible teachers and parents went the extra mile to ensure every child felt like a star, creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🌟
The atmosphere was vibrant! While some classes transformed their rooms into festive party hubs, others enjoyed the fresh air with beautiful garden parties, took the celebration seaside for a day at the beach, or enjoyed special treats at a restaurant.
A massive thank you to our devoted teachers and parents! Your hard work, creativity, and dedication truly made this day unforgettable for our pupils. We couldn't have done it without you! ❤️🙌

Yesterday, 3rd June, was just the beginning of revamping our Greenhouse! The Eco Warriors team is officially in action, and seeing the children’s excitement and encouragement was the best start we could have asked for. 🌿✨

As we celebrate Educational Day tomorrow, we took time today to come together as one school family over a shared lunch in the dining room.
It was a heartfelt moment to welcome some members of our former teaching staff, whose presence reminded us that the heart of our school lives on through every season.
Over good food, shared stories, and laughter, bonds were strengthened and memories revisited.
Each guest received a small token of appreciation, a simple thank you for the dedication, service, and impact that continue to shape our school community.
Education is not only found in books, but in relationships, gratitude, and togetherness.
