🎉 VI SØGER SMAGSDOMMERE! 🎉

Daniel driving The Beast or The Beast driving Daniel? The Beast is our two-wheel tractor. We are using it for many things, and in this case for moving soil. It is a very strong machine which has its own personality. And you get a hint of that personality by its name - it can be very hard to handle.
Daniel is one of the volunteers who has been with us twice. He is very eager to learn and a powerful worker. In his search for more freedom in his life, he has taken a high position in a company to give him a resilient financial capital that he later in life can use to be more free and to help other people 💗

Daniel stayed with us for a month and worked hard at the building site every morning. This photo was taken when he was still able to enjoy the shade before the morning sun reached the place and turned the building site into a pot of hot air 🌞

Misaki joined our project in order to experiment with a more sustainable way of living. She enjoyed her time here and learned new skills. Here, she is planing a plank from our sawmill 🤗

Nynne was our first sawmill master. In the beginning, she hated the chainsaw, because she was not able to actually start it herself. But after a few days with a good and healthy portion of stubbornness, she proved to herself how strong and determined she actually is... Well done Nynne 👏

Tommy travelled south from Stockholm to help us out around the building site. He is always open to learn new crafts and give his best in any situation. Here you can see him preparing and moving soil. Tommy is one of those guys that just thrives in nature 🌲🤩

After selling our car, we started picking up newly arriving volunteers by bike too 😅 This is, of course, a heavy job, and before making the bikes electric, we had an extra driver and bike attached to help to pull the cargo bike. Here, Jason and James are sharing the heavy load of Franz 😜

Including a whole bunch of 2nd hand bikes in our daily means of transportation, cause a regular need for repairing. We have all these bikes so that our visitors can move freely around the neighbourhood. Some of our guests are not that used to cycling, but after a short introduction, they get comfortable with this green way of transport 🚲💨

Christina, Laura and Aina are working on our plant nursery. They are making terraces on the northern side of a small pond which will then get the extra sunlight from the reflection of the pond and thereby getting more heat to the small plants. But first, there is a lot of work in getting rid of some of the natural elements...

This autumn one of our lovely and determined volunteers, Tommy, build this shaving horse for James. He did an excellent job, and it has already proven very useful while we made Christmas presents... What would be your first project, if you had a shaving horse? 🤔

Our lovely Spanish WorkAwayers, Ines, Claudia and Aina, made great use of power tools when cutting out the boards from the sawmill. Physical efforts are always more bearable with clear skies, good mood and teamwork. 👏 Thanks, ladies!

Lovely Christina was the only one who dared to jump into the cold water to stabilise the side of the pond for the plant nursery. Christina was really pushing her limits while she was here, and she grew a lot in her own mind, realising how much more she is actually capable of doing!
