In awe of the human beings surrounding me 🌱 that have become my fellow farmers but most importantly my friends ♥️ especially and . It’s something else to have some strong women on your side, while doing hard physical work on the field, learning new skills and breaking gender definitions. We have had some long talks about it, carefully observing our working culture here & it becomes clear, it’s absolutly not easy, but we are in a process here ! Again, raising awareness to in a felt sense for me 💜 I’m definitely not there yet, mastering all that is to know about ecofeminism and for sure not, how I can perfectly integrate it into my work as an agroecologist to be- but I am on my way 💪thankful for you both and all the females on the plot 💪 🌱😌💜 let’s keep up the good work !

We haven’t been really active on this account, but that didn’t mean we weren’t active in real life ! 😋 we are part of a new project ♥️♥️♥️ look at this bunch of beautiful people :) although I miss quite some faces in this picture- this is the crew with which we are building up a market garden 🥰👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾👨‍🌾 running a CSA and a small Farmers Market - yay !!! It’s a student-run NGO aiming to build a physical side and an educational space for agroecological practices ♥️. Leòn and I got more serious with it, taking board positions and becoming integrated parts of this web of individuals from all different cultural and educational backgrounds 🍅🥬🎓. If you are anything like me, in some darker moments you might have wondered whether the planet would not be better off without us humans 🌎 ecosystems would recover, biodiversity would increase and everything would be fine 🌱🕊. That’s what I sometimes believed.. until i came across this article from my new course at SLU yesterday 🌞 Science actually agrees, since 1992, that wilderness untouched by humans being a treasure for biodiversity- is a myth ! ❗️”...because human activities were instrumental for changing and increasing the biodiversity by shaping different habitats” 🌸🍃 though preindustrial methods like agroforestry; silvopasture, shifting cultivation’s with slash and burn, infield-outland systems in combination with livestock, transhumance, coppicing, - in all different kinds of locally adapted shapes and forms 🍃 all those concepts were dismissed in the industrial revolution as artificial fertilizers and fossil fuel machinery were introduced 💨what can be solutions ? 🌟 conditions and population size today implies the need for food security, but the yield of harvests of agroforestry concepts for example are significantly higher then those of monoculture cropping system. 🌳what we need MORE PEOPLE IN AGRICULTURE ❗️❗️is advanced ‘clean’ technology, to support those Labour intensive product systems, the preservation of indigenous knowledge and of course fair food prices to make it attractive to give perspective to all of us young people wanting to engage in this agrarian revolution ✊! Joint forces of science & technology, politics and the people 🤝.

The message of this post is: in my interpretation, humans are not the disease by nature, WE ARE GARDENERS❤️ 🌱 supposed to shape landscape in a way to create different microclimates to support and preserve biodiversity 🌸🐞🐢. We simply have to find smart solutions and make use of ancient knowledge that has proven itself over thousands of years and combine it with technological innovations we have accomplished & once and for all make it attractive for people to join back agriculture 👩🏼‍🌾👩🏽‍🌾🧑🏼‍🌾👨🏾‍🌾 ❤️

Flowers 🌸Tomatoes 🍅 Pumpkins 🍠a bucket full of herbs 🍃 and a wheelbarrow full of beans 🌱. Life is abundant in summer. One of the things being constant in those difficult times is the fact that plants grow & that summer is coming ! 🌞I really needed this reminder today ✨ and when I came across this photo, my mood immediately shifted- it’s so funny that I constantly forget in those dark winter times- that life can feel so much different when the sun is warming your skin ☀️ I mean - at least if we take care of this climate! I really hope as soon as this crazy time passes we all get back to focus 🌎for many more abundant summers to come 🌸✨ sending sunny vibes out there 🌞

Being home in Germany feels so good ❤️the St. Matthias garden is asleep & we just took out all the flower bulbs that were left. This garden is where our heart is and which still feels like home 🌱 still, we really hope to be back home in Sweden 🇸🇪we postponed our travel back until next week as all lectures are held online for the rest of this module ✨ up next: Food planning for me 👩🏼‍🎓& microbial horticulture for Leòn 👨🏻‍🎓.

This was obviously before the accident 💪🏼. We went to Kullaberg, down to in the micro nation Ladonien, home of the art structure Nimis & Arx by Lars Vilk. 👣 up for more exploring as soon as health allows it ✨ other then that, we are still preparing the crop planning for , joining the food forest team now 🌱. Very exciting! Currently I am laying on the couch with Leòn being really sick, praying that we can actually come home for Christmas 😔we officially only exist horizontally🙈 hope you are all safe peeps 🌱much love

The season comes to an end at 🍃 life has been incredibly busy and a lot has happened during the past weeks. The farm finally became a NGO 💫🌟, thanks to the effort to the founding team, the University and their programs has the opportunity to apply the knowledge on site. 💪🏼 I am super excited and grateful to be able to step in at this point and be part of the project next to all my agroecology angles of my class and many of the different programs offered here at .greenstudies 🦋. The farm now increased its size from 400sqm market garden to a max of 2.000sqm on a new plot 😳 so there is a lot of planning and structuring work to be done in the coming weeks. Hopefully I finally find the time to document that a little better 😊. Plus, learning and growing from being part of the formation of an NGO is a very valuable experience to share 🙃. Thinking of as an example, I feel like channeling research, scientific knowledge, activism and the social aspect in a university scheme has so much potential & like I said, I am exited to be part of it and contribute to the formation of a Student-run agroecological farm ☺️❤️

As the Season is slowly coming to an end, I am making myself happy by stealing some tomatoes of in their greenhouse 🌿 today I just realized that my nails have grown so long & they have been clean- no soil on my hands atm. We have spent so much time visiting all different kinds of small scale farms and projects in and around Malmö lately - Benchmarking, getting all inspired, stealing some tomatoes ;) 🍅✨ will keep you updated, but first incubate all the info we are accumulating ☺️thanks to Saba .culinary.farmer to take time to introduce us to Botildenborg 🌞🌿

🍄Learning about Mushroom inoculation ❤️🍄

I wish I would have looked over his shoulder, when I still had the chance ✨ he got really deep into gourmet mushroom growing just before I left, and my head was too full to kind of listen to his vast knowledge🍄. Well luckily I have the beautiful people from teaching us on how to grow mushrooms now here in Sweden ✨ last week our group was introduced into log inoculation, namely shiitake growing & oyster mushrooms in a straw and coffee mixture 🍄 it’s incredibly simple and (hopefully) very fruitful .
