Championing Inclusive Education on the Global Stage!
We are proud to share that our Founding Director, Jayne Nadarajoo presented at the International Association of Special Education (IASE) 2026 Conference, Cultivating Inclusive Futures - Innovations in Special Education in Thimphu, Bhutan.
Her presentation, "Promoting Self-Advocacy Through Assistive Technology", explored how The GUILD International College and sister school, Melbourne International School are empowering students to become confident self-advocates through the meaningful use of assistive technology.
The session highlighted the importance of fostering independence, amplifying student voice and creating learning environments where every learner is equipped with the tools, confidence and opportunities to thrive.
Bringing together educators, researchers, therapists and advocates from around the world, the IASE Conference provided a valuable platform for sharing ideas, learning from global best practices and advancing conversations around inclusive and special education.
For more than three decades, Jayne has championed inclusive education, advocating for learning environments where diversity is valued and every learner is empowered to reach their full potential. Her participation at IASE 2026 once again reflects our continued commitment to sharing best practices, learning from global peers and contributing to the future of inclusive education.

๐๐ Holiday Programme Highlights: Exploring Singaporeโs Transport System! ๐ธ๐ฌ
This week, our students embarked on an exciting journey to learn about Singaporeโs transport system and the many ways we travel around the city!
๐บ๏ธ Students worked together to create a Singapore map, explored the MRT network, learned about the different MRT lines, and practised reading MRT maps.
๐จ As part of the theme, they also designed and coloured their very own buses, showcasing their creativity and imagination.
๐ป During Digital Skills lessons, students created personalised EZ-Link cards and prepared presentation slides about their MRT adventures. They confidently shared which MRT station is closest to their homes and learned important MRT safety rules for safe and responsible travel.
๐ The highlight of the week was our MRT field trip! Students had a wonderful time exploring different MRT lines and stations with their friends. This meaningful hands-on experience allowed them to apply their classroom learning in a real-world setting while building confidence and independence.
We are so proud of their enthusiasm, teamwork, and curiosity throughout the week! ๐

More than education - a pathway to independence!
At The GUILD International College, we go beyond academics to support neurodivergent learners in building confidence, independence and real-world skills at their own pace.
As Singaporeโs first inclusive college for learners aged 7 to 35, our approach is grounded in the CONNECT Method, developed by founder Jayne Nadarajoo, where wellbeing, emotional safety and strong relationships form the foundation for learning.
Complementing this, The GUILD Adapted Curriculum is tailored to each studentโs strengths and goals integrating functional academics, life skills and vocational learning to support meaningful, real-world outcomes.
From emotional regulation to future pathways, every learner is guided towards independence, purpose and possibility.
