A step closer every day!
💪 Efforts are ramping up for the Merdeka Textile Museum in KL. We are incredibly excited to see how far this cultural heritage project has progressed. More and more, our design is coming to life – made possible by the many dedicated hands behind this project 🥰 From clients, consultants and specialists to fabricators and craftsmen, every contribution plays a role in bringing the story of the textile heritage to life!
A list of refinements has been discussed with various specialists on site to materialise in greater details the past years of development. We look forward to seeing them take shape through the ongoing fabrication and installation.
More updates to come 💯

A recent experience prompted us to reflect on the role of creativity in our work and the expectations that come with it.
The thoughts below are not directed at any particular project or client. Rather, they are a reminder to ourselves of why we do what we do, the values that guide our practice, the way we approach our work, and the commitment we bring to every collaboration.
Not every collaboration will be the right fit — and that is okay.

💚In our recent trip to Bali, we took the opportunity to visit one of our projects that is now in the construction stage. While we were involved only up to the Sketch Design stage, we are blessed to see it coming to life!
This residential and retreat project draws on the homeowners' distinct tastes to define a unique language. We created a bespoke ensemble tailored to their influences. For her, it was about a nurturing place for healing and wellness. For him, it was about composing his geometric preference and industrial techniques. Shared between them is their love for hosting🥰
✨Contrasting ideas sparked the beginning of something magical … A contemporary vernacular tropical Indonesian built ensemble immersed in the surrounding nature 🌿 echoing the topography and layered by a measured sense of post-industrial composition.

🌟 For our rejuvenation project of communal areas for an ageing residential estate, we examined how underutilised spaces and transitional zones can become nodes to nurture a greater sense of belonging 🤗
Currently in the construction phase, a (not-so) typical weekly site visit by Jamie, our Senior Designer, involves working closely with our contractors to address challenges and mitigate them with technical yet bespoke solutions, on-site 📐
Our design update treats every enhancement as an opportunity to extend comfort for the end-users. From optimising natural light in common corridors to creating more conducive shared areas for informal gatherings, we work together collectively with the craftsmen to increase qualitative aspects. Thereby transforming an individual's day-to-day interaction into a collective’s lived experience. A life-centric approach 💚
💯 Excited for what’s to come as we progress closer to the completion date. Stay tuned!
