Bug Fix Announcement for WritingSamurai.com - 13.11.24

Dear Writing Samurai Users,

We sincerely apologise for the recent issues experienced on the WritingSamurai.com site.

Following a round of plugin updates, a major bug was identified. In the process of addressing this, complications arose, affecting over 6,000 user accounts.

Regrettably, as a result, we have had to perform a partial restoration on all user accounts, utilising a backup of the Writing Samurai site from 21st October 2024.

The positive news is that all courses you had enrolled in prior to 21st October 2024 have been restored to your accounts.

However, any purchases, enrolments, user accounts created, or course progress recorded between 21st October and 13th November 2024 have been removed.

If you are a new customer who registered in recent weeks, you will need to re-create your account and sign up again for the 30-day free trial courses.

If you have paid for specific courses and find them missing from your account, please email us at [email protected], and we will promptly restore them for you. (All records remain securely stored in the Writing Samurai database.)

Also, because the website is restored back to before the original bug was fixed - you may find your lessons blocked again.

If you find that to be the case, send us an email and we will fix your lesson release schedule right away.

We understand that this is frustrating for you, and apologise once more for the disruption this has caused.

Please rest assured that our team is on standby and fully committed to resolving any account issues as swiftly as possible.

Proverbs can be used throughout a composition, whether as an introduction, as a concluding statement, or even in the dialogue 🗨️💬 between the characters in the composition. 🗝️ The key is to use them moderately or even sparingly.

🍲 They are like the spices you add to your dishes for additional flavour; whether it is a pinch of cinnamon or a dash of paprika, proverbs are not meant to be ‘spammed’.
‎
You can use a proverb in the introduction to immediately capture the reader’s attention or in the conclusion to leave a lasting impression on the reader.
‎
Here are some proverbs that your child can start using in his compositions to impress his or her teachers in school!

➡️ A watched pot never boils:
Waiting for something to happen will make time pass even slower.
‎
➡️ Beggars can’t be choosers.
When you receive help, you have to be content with and accept whatever you get.
‎
➡️ Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
Do not be overconfident, or make plans based on something good that you think will happen, before it has actually happened.
‎
➡️ Don’t cry over spilt milk.
Do not be upset over something that has already happened that you cannot change.
‎
➡️ Many hands make light work.
This proverb is about teamwork. If everyone works together to help in something, the task is accomplished much quicker.
‎
➡️ There’s no smoke without fire. (variation: Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.)
This proverb is saying that there might be truth in rumours, because rumours, no matter how twisted they are, must have been grounded in some underlying fact.

➡️ We never miss the water till the well is dry.
We tend to take things for granted, and only realize how important something/someone is until we lose it.
‎
➡️ You can’t make bricks without straws.
You cannot accomplish something without the right information or necessary tools.
