Smart Sustainable Workshop @ Singapore Discovery Centre
As part of Singapore Discovery Centre’s (SDC) ongoing sustainability efforts in support of Go Green SG, SmartCo conducted our Smart Sustainable Workshop for SDC staff members. The workshop complemented organisational efforts by exploring how individual actions and everyday decisions can collectively contribute towards a more sustainable future. Through interactive activities and discussions, participants examined real-world sustainability challenges, explored the interconnected impact of environmental, social, and economic decisions, and reflected on the role each of us plays in creating positive change. The session reinforced an important message: sustainability is not solely driven by technology or infrastructure, but also by the choices we make every day.

Smart Consumer Workshop @ Clementi Town Secondary School
Students at Clementi Town Secondary School participated in our Smart Consumer Workshop, where they developed their consumer education knowledge and scam awareness through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
The workshop provides a safe and responsible environment for students to explore both physical and digital transactions. Through interactive simulations, they navigate real-world scenarios, from online payments to physical self-checkout using PayNow, while learning how to make informed consumer decisions and protect themselves from scams.

Smart Money Workshop (Foundation) @ Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School
We had an engaging and thought-provoking session with the Boys’ Brigade members from Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Primary School.
Through our Smart Money Workshop (Foundation), students explored important financial literacy concepts such as saving, responsible spending, and how major events like the COVID-19 pandemic can impact individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
What made the session especially meaningful was seeing the students actively discussing ideas, working together as teams, and learning from one another. The workshop provided a safe environment for them to explore real-world challenges while developing critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.

HSBC TPsmart Workshop @ Temasek Polytechnic
Sec 3 students from East Spring Secondary School embarked on a meaningful learning journey at Temasek Polytechnic as part of the HSBC TPsmart Workshop.
Through the interactive L Cube experience, students explored financial literacy concepts such as saving, spending wisely, planning for the future, and making informed life decisions. The hands-on gameplay and group discussions encouraged students to think critically about how education, career pathways, and financial choices are closely connected.
What made the session especially impactful was the opportunity for students to visit Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Accounting & Finance and experience the learning environment firsthand. Students also had the chance to interact with the TP course coordinator, who shared insights about the diploma programmes and future opportunities in the finance industry.

HSBC TPsmart Workshop @ Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School
Students at Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School participated in the HSBC TPsmart Workshop, where financial literacy was brought to life through interactive gameplay, discussions, and decision-making challenges.
One of the strongest takeaways from the survey reflections was how much students enjoyed exploring different career and education pathways while experiencing the financial consequences tied to their choices. Many shared that the workshop gave them a better understanding of topics such as saving, investing, loans, CPF, and planning for the future in a way that felt realistic, relatable, and engaging.
Students also highlighted how the activities encouraged teamwork, interaction, and active participation. Several mentioned that learning through games and real-life simulations made the session both memorable and meaningful. It was encouraging to see students not only having fun, but also reflecting on how good financial habits and informed decisions can create more opportunities in the future.

Smart Business Workshop @ North Vista Secondary School
Students at North Vista Secondary School put their Elements of Business knowledge to the test as they learned how to manage a business through the 4Ps of Marketing. It was a fun and interactive experience that brought business decision-making to life.
The Smart Business Workshop develops students’ business skills and strengthens their understanding of accounting concepts. It provides an authentic learning environment where students explore business operations while connecting classroom learning to real-world scenarios. Through interactive simulations, they experience how their decisions directly impact financial outcomes and overall business performance.

HSBC TPsmart Workshop @ Hougang Secondary School
Students at Hougang Secondary School participated in the HSBC TPsmart Workshop, where Sec 2 H.O.U.G.A.E.N.S explored real-life financial concepts through the interactive L Cube experience. Topics included budgeting, saving, investing, CPF, emergency funds, and responsible decision-making. Students especially enjoyed how the game simulated real-world consequences, showing how today’s choices can shape their future.
Survey reflections were very encouraging, with many students sharing that the workshop helped them better understand financial literacy, money management, career choices, and the importance of planning ahead. They described the session as “fun and educational” and “engaging and interactive,” and appreciated learning together with their friends through hands-on gameplay and discussions.
