No more O-Levels from 2027? 😳

Here is the truth about Singapore’s massive secondary exam shift! The GCE O-Levels and N-Levels are merging into a single unified certificate called the Secondary Education Certificate (SEC).

What you need to know:
✅ No more rigid Express or Normal streams.
✅ Subjects are split into G1, G2, and G3 subject levels (G3 = legacy O-Level standard).
✅ Mid-year Mother Tongue exams in June are removed completely.
✅ English and Mother Tongue written papers are moving together into a common September examination window.

A simple drink order can become a valuable learning experience. ☕✨

Recently, our CSE students stepped outside the classroom with Ms Ratna and Ms Suhaidah to practise English in a real-world setting. From ordering drinks to engaging in everyday conversations, students had the opportunity to build confidence while applying what they had learned. As a special treat, both teachers also generously paid for the students’ drinks.

Recently, several of our 2025 GCE O-Level graduates returned to Hanbridge Institute to share their experiences and practical advice with our current O-Level students as they prepare for this year’s examinations.

Since joining Hanbridge Institute in 2024, Wen Jinting has made remarkable progress on her academic journey. After successfully completing her GCE O-Levels, she has now taken the next step towards her goals by gaining admission to Republic Polytechnic.

In this video, Jinting shares her experience studying at Hanbridge Institute and how the guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback from our teachers, Ms Manjit and Ms Theresa, helped her strengthen her English and prepare for her O-Level examinations. She also reflects on her transition into polytechnic life, including adapting to a new learning environment and making new friends.
