It offers practical perspectives for organisations and professionals preparing for what lies ahead.
๐ ๐ฟ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ (Deputy CEO, NUS-ISS) highlights the growing need for โAI bilingualsโ, professionals who combine deep domain expertise with AI capability, a view that aligns closely with NUSโISSโ mission to equip the workforce for an AIโenabled future. His remark, โAI should take the robot out of me,โ reinforces the enduring importance of human judgment and accountability.

Many organisations are experimenting with AI. The bigger challenge is translating experimentation into meaningful transformation.
On The Business Times' ๐๐๐ฃ๐จ ๐ค๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐ฅ๐ค๐ง๐, ๐ ๐ฟ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ (Deputy CEO, NUS-ISS) joined host ๐ ๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ and ๐ ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ง๐ผ๐ป๐ด (Managing Director, Head of Group HR, UOB) to discuss how organisations can move beyond AI pilots, rethink workforce capabilities, and prepare for long-term transformation.
As AI becomes embedded across industries and functions, one question becomes increasingly important: What happens when AI becomes part of every role, not just those in technology? Hear Victor and Deanโs perspectives on preparing individuals and organisations for whatโs next: https://bit.ly/3RYo1v7

The challenges that shape the future of education are often visible long before they become urgent.
At the recent ๐ค๐ฆ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, ๐ ๐ ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ (Chief, Data Science & Digital Sustainability, ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ-๐๐ฆ๐ฆ) explored this idea in her session, ๐พ๐๐ฃ ๐ฟ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฟ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฝ๐ก๐๐๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ?
As AI continues to reshape work and shorten the shelf life of skills, traditional measures such as enrolment, attendance, completion, and satisfaction may no longer tell the full story.
Instead, Clara challenged educators and data professionals to look for early indicators in learner behaviour, engagement, performance, access, and system capacity, enabling better judgement and more timely action.
Her key message was clear. The goal is not more dashboards, but ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ about how we develop talent, build employer trust, and prepare learners for the future.
How are you using data today to anticipate change rather than react to it?
05/06/2026
The hardest part of AI isn't building it. It's deciding where, when, and how it should be used.
That was one of the key themes explored during today's ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ-๐๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ on ๐ผ๐ ๐ผ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐จ ๐๐๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ผ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐: ๐๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐ช๐๐ก๐ ๐ผ๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐๐ช๐๐ฉ๐จ ๐ค๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐จ ๐๐๐ฃ ๐ฉ๐ง๐ช๐จ๐ฉ. During the session, ๐ ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ถ (Principal Lecturer & Consultant, Digital Products & Platforms Practice, ๐ก๐จ๐ฆ-๐๐ฆ๐ฆ) and ๐ ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ป ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฒ (CEO, ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ.๐ฎ๐ถ) shared their perspectives on what separates promising AI prototypes from solutions organisations can confidently deploy in the real world.
Beneath the excitement around AI agents, a recurring theme emerged. Getting AI to work is becoming easier.
Some key ideas surfaced throughout the conversation:
โข Build for reliability, not just capability
โข Focus on outcomes, not AI for AI's sake
โข Accountability cannot be outsourced
As organisations move beyond experimentation, the conversation may need to shift from what AI can do to what organisations can confidently depend on it to do.
Thank you to our speakers for an engaging and insightful discussion, and to everyone who joined us today. We look forward to continuing the conversation at future NUS-ISS Insight Series sessions!

A lot of AI initiatives begin with excitement. Not all of them make it into real-world operations.
Some stall at the pilot stage. Some struggle to earn stakeholder trust. Others solve interesting problems, but not the ones businesses are truly ready to deploy at scale.
