โœจ Beyond Borders, Beyond Classrooms ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ๐ŸŒ

On 7 to 11 April, our students embarked on an Overseas Immersion Trip to Taipei and Hsinchu, where they experienced Taiwanโ€™s rich culture, traditions and way of life firsthand. โœˆ๏ธ

A highlight of the trip was visiting our partner schools, Municipal Minfu Elementary School and Juguang Elementary School, where our students forged new friendships, exchanged ideas and gained valuable insights into learning in a different environment. ๐Ÿ“š

From cultural experiences to meaningful connections, this journey broadened perspectives, deepened understanding and created memories that will last a lifetime.

โœจ Designing Kindness, Inspiring Hearts โœจ

To all our students and parents,

Thank you for your enthusiastic participation in our Kindness Badge Design Competition.

We were truly inspired by the creativity, thoughtfulness, and effort shown in every design submitted. Each badge reflected meaningful messages of kindness, empathy, friendship, and care for others.

To our students โ€” thank you for courageously sharing your ideas and talents. Whether your design was selected or not, your contribution helped make this competition special and reminded us that every act of kindness matters.

To our parents โ€” thank you for your encouragement, guidance, and support throughout the process. Your partnership helped our students grow in confidence and creativity.

We would also like to congratulate our winning designers for their outstanding work. At the same time, we celebrate every participant for the heart and effort poured into each submission.

Let us remember that kindness is about using our words, actions, and creativity to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Thank you once again for being part of this meaningful journey. Let us continue to spread kindness wherever we go!

Together, we can make our school a kinder and brighter place for all. ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿงข NO CAP! Itโ€™s Kindness Week! ๐Ÿงข๐ŸŽ‰

Our school came alive with kindness through NO CAP! Itโ€™s Kindness Week, a student-led initiative organised by our P6 exco members and prefects, and our Peer Support Champions.

Wanting to spread kindness and raise awareness about anti-bullying, our student leaders planned a series of engaging recess activities that encouraged students to connect with one another, show appreciation, and make positive choices in their daily interactions.

Beyond the recess activities, students also had the opportunity to learn more about making healthy and responsible choices during DrugFreeSG Ambassador Day. In addition, they participated in voting for their favourite designs in our Badge Design Competition, giving them a voice in selecting a badge that reflects our schoolโ€™s values and spirit.

Through these activities, students learnt that everyone can play a part in creating a caring, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

๐Ÿ’™ A kind word can brighten someoneโ€™s day. ๐Ÿ’™ A small action can make a big difference. ๐Ÿ’™ Together, we can stand against bullying and build a stronger school community.

๐ŸŽจโœจ Celebrating creativity, expression and the joy of the arts! ๐ŸŽถ

This termโ€™s Aesthetics Moments once again brought our school community together through a Digital Artistic Showcase and Music@Recess.

The digital showcase featured a collection of artworks created during Art lessons and Art Club sessions, highlighting our studentsโ€™ imagination, creativity and growing artistic skills. During Music@Recess, our young musicians took to the stage to share their learning and talents with confidence, filling the library with music and enthusiasm.

It was heartening to see students supporting one another, appreciating the arts, and taking pride in sharing their creative journeys with the school community.

A big thank you to our school leaders, teachers and students for making these moments possible through your encouragement, participation and support. Your presence and applause made the experience even more meaningful for our performers and artists.

As we head into the June holidays, we wish everyone a restful break filled with artistic discoveries, musical adventures and moments of inspiration. โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŽต Keep creating, keep exploring, and we look forward to welcoming you back for more aesthetic experiences in Term 3! โœจ

๐ŸŒฑโœจ Reimagining Science Learning Through Technology โœจ๐ŸŒฑ

How do we move beyond simply telling students how plants transport water and food, and instead empower them to discover it for themselves as well as help them visualise at the same time?

We are proud to share our Happenings@Springdale Primary School feature by the Educational Technology Division (ETD), which reflects the collective effort, creativity, and dedication of our educators in integrating Educational Technology meaningfully to enhance student learning.

At Springdale Primary School, we leverage technology to deepen inquiry and make learning more meaningful. Through an Augmented Reality (AR) application developed by our school in collaboration with NIE and NTU, students can explore the functions of the plantโ€™s food-carrying and water-carrying tubes in an interactive and engaging way.

This feature highlights more than just the use of technologyโ€”it showcases how thoughtful pedagogy remains at the heart of learning. When innovative tools are paired with purposeful instruction, students are empowered to ask questions, make observations, and construct their own understanding.

Together, we are creating learning experiences that inspire curiosity, nurture inquiry, and prepare our students for the future.

๐ŸŒ™ โ€œ9PM Lights Out, 9 Hours of Power: Sleep Your Way to Success!โ€ ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’ช

As part of our PAM Departmentโ€™s Health Week, we were delighted to welcome a very special guest โ€” Mr Sleep Well (Mr Firzan) ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ˜ด โ€” who was personally invited by our very own Springdale Superhero, Mr Anti Diabetes Man (Mr Jufri)! ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

Mr Sleep Well took centre stage ๐ŸŽค to share with our Springdale community the importance of getting a good nightโ€™s rest. His key message was simple yet powerful โ€” aim for 9 hours of sleep each night, and make it easy to remember with the magic timing of 9pm โฐโœจ

Through his engaging sharing, students learnt how quality sleep plays a vital role in supporting their overall health and well-being โ€” from sharper focus ๐Ÿง  and better mood ๐Ÿ˜Š, to stronger immunity ๐Ÿ’ช and healthier growth ๐ŸŒฑ

A big thank you to Mr Sleep Well for the eye-opening session ๐Ÿ™Œ, and to Mr Anti Diabetes Man for making this collaboration possible ๐Ÿค. Together, our Springdale Superheroes continue to champion the health and well-being of every child in our school ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Letโ€™s all commit to the magic number โ€” 9pm bedtime, 9 hours of sleep! ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’คโœจ
