Music transcends borders and so do UWCSEA connections! Adrian and Lisa Hill from our Dover Music Department recently traveled to Japan and took the opportunity to reconnect with several of their former students. A beautiful reminder that our community extends far beyond the campus!

With Beijing wrapped up, that brings our UWCSEA gatherings to a close in China! We loved connecting with everyone in both cities—Shanghai and Beijing! It is always inspiring to see how our alumni continue to live our values, and to catch up with current parents who champion our mission from afar.

A huge thank you to T.K. Lai ’85 and Katherine Lai ’18 for hosting the Shanghai event, and to parents of alumni Angela Bai and Daqing Mao for providing the perfect venue in Beijing. We also extend our gratitude to Board Governor Angel Wu, whose invaluable support helped bring these events to life. Thank you all for keeping the UWC spirit thriving!

Hot off the press: The latest issue of our UWC South East Asia Alumni magazine, One°North, is now available! Our cover story features university professor in Theatre and Performance Studies, Enzo Vasquez Toral '10, as he reflects on the power of embracing life’s changing rooms.

From Samoa to Antarctica, this issue follows our alumni to the literal ends of the earth. Whether they are transforming the arts, serving in public office, pioneering sustainable food systems, or even helping to design the very campus that once shaped them, our alumni continue to navigate the world guided by that familiar UWCSEA compass. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at our Alumni Network in Tokyo last night! It was our largest gathering in Tokyo to date, bringing together over 70 alumni spanning the Classes of 1985 to 2025. We were also thrilled to welcome our friends from UWC ISAK Japan. Thank you for making the night so special and for showing just how vibrant our community is in Japan!
