🌈 June is the global , a time to celebrate the diversity, strength, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community — and a reminder that inclusion and mental well‑being are human rights, not privileges.
At Proud Ambassadors, we work to support LGBTQIA+ youth across Europe by:
- promoting social inclusion
- improving mental health awareness
- empowering youth workers with training & tools
- creating safe spaces for peer support
- advocating for better policies and real change
Discrimination still affects the daily lives and mental well‑being of many LGBTQIA+ young people. This month, we reaffirm our commitment to amplifying their voices and ensuring they are seen, heard, and supported.
🌈 Pride is not just a celebration — it’s a responsibility.
Together, we build a Europe where every young person can live openly, safely, and proudly.

Today, on IDAHOBIT (the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia), our partner Legebitra highlights an important reality. 🏳️🌈
Only 18 countries worldwide allow legal gender recognition based on self-determination — Slovenia is still lagging behind.
Only 9 countries have national bans on unnecessary medical interventions on intersex children — Slovenia has not regulated this yet.
Slovenia also does not have a ban on conversion practices.
Additionally, Slovenia has not yet adopted a comprehensive LGBTIQ+ strategy that would systematically address equality, safety, and inclusion of LGBTIQ+ people.
Many other areas remain systemically unregulated, preventing LGBTIQ+ people from being treated equally in Slovenia.
Today, communities around the world step into the spotlight — because visibility and rights are not a given. ✨
Across the globe, LGBTIQ+ communities continue organizing, advocating, and pushing boundaries for equality, dignity, and inclusion. The work continues.
As Proud Ambassadors, we stand together with initiatives that promote human rights, visibility, and safer societies for all. 💜
What actions are you supporting today?

🌈 This week, our Rainbow gatherings at Björken meeting place in Skärholmen continued with creative activities, conversations, and lots of laughter. ✨
Together with Skärholmen, Sensus Stockholm-Gotland is helping create inclusive meeting places where people can connect, create, and simply be themselves.
The gatherings take place as part of the Allmänna Arvsfonden-funded project “I Sällskap,” led by Daniela Ibañez at Sensus, with Yordanos Ghirmay Desta helping hold the space with warmth and care. 💛
We’re especially happy to see participation growing each time. Safe and welcoming spaces matter. 🌟

🌈 March 31 – International Transgender Day of Visibility 🏳️⚧️
Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and contributions of transgender and non-binary people around the world.
International Transgender Day of Visibility is not only about being seen—it’s about being respected, valued, and empowered. First observed in 2009, this day highlights both the achievements of trans communities and the challenges they still face, including discrimination and inequality.
At Proud Ambassadors, we believe that visibility creates change. It opens conversations, builds understanding, and reminds us that everyone deserves to live authentically and safely.
✨ Today—and every day—we stand for:
• Inclusion
• Equality
• Respect
• Pride in every identity
Let’s continue to amplify trans voices, challenge prejudice, and create spaces where everyone can thrive without fear.
🏳️⚧️ Visibility matters. Rights matter. People matter.
