BECE 2026 UPDATE

The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education, with WAEC, confirms the 2026 BECE will now begin Monday, 6th July.

This change ensures a smooth, fair, and well-organized exam process nationwide. Full timetable coming soon through official channels.

*Eligiility list updated for the first phase of the 2026 Teacher Licensure Examinations*

Eligibility list for the first phase of the Teacher Licensure Examinations scheduled to be conducted across the country from 2nd June to 25th July, has been updated from 6,713 to 10,170.
If your name is still not on this list, please exercise patience as the verification process is ongoing.
The Commission is calling on all eligible teachers to book a seat before they can write the exams. Teachers on the eligibility list that are not on government payroll are specifically encouraged to make use of this opportunity and book now as this is the first step in their formal recruitment process by the government of Sierra Leone.
Remember, you cannot write the license exam if you do not book. So go now to your district TSC office and the staff there will support you through the process, free of charge.
