Thank you, Hangil Yahng, for sitting down with us and sharing your fond memories of CMIS. Your deep connection and love for this school truly shine through every word.

And a special thank you to Poy Teerawat and Joe Anichowski, who jumped in at the end of the video to invite fellow alumni to come back and visit. We love seeing that Eagle spirit in action!

We hope you all had a wonderful time, especially during that little showdown on the basketball court! 🏀

Once an eagle, always an eagle!

Welcome back, Siree McRady (Class of 2005–2016)! 🦅

Siree is truly a CMIS child at heart, having grown up within these very walls while both of her parents worked at the school. She used to arrive early and linger long after the bell, spending her afternoons in her parents' room or any corner of the campus that called to her.

One of the most touching moments of her visit was being reunited with our beloved maintenance crew, who played such a special role in looking after her as she grew up. Seeing that warmth and recognition on both sides was truly something special!

Siree also brought along her then-fiancé to show him her roots, the school that shaped her into the wonderful woman she is today. Speaking of which, congratulations on your wedding, Siree! 🎉 We wish you both a beautiful new chapter together, and who knows, perhaps one day a little one of yours will become an Eagle too! 🦅

During her visit, Siree had a wonderful time catching up with the teachers and staff who watched her grow up, and even revisited the slides for old times' sake!

Once an eagle! Always an eagle! 🦅💜

Thank you, Vincent, for sitting down and sharing your fond memories of CMIS with us — and giving us a glimpse into how you're soaring in life today!

Welcome back, Hangil Yahng (Class of 2007), Poy Teerawat Teriyaphirom (Class of 2008), and Joe Anichowski (Class of 2008) — welcome home! 🏠

The three friends had a wonderful time catching up, flipping through old pictures in the yearbook, and visiting with their former teachers. They even squeezed in a little one-on-one on the covered court for old times' sake — some competitive spirits never fade! 🏀⛹️‍♂️

All three have gone on to become successful businessmen. Hangil is based in South Korea, where he runs his business ventures, while the other two have planted their roots right here in Chiang Mai. Joe is keeping the legacy going at the family restaurant, The Duke's🍕, and Poy is making waves with CHOW CHOW Thai Contemporary Kitchen🥘. If you haven't visited them yet, consider this your sign — go show these CMIS alumni some love!

It was heartwarming to see their friendship as strong as ever, along with the bond they clearly still hold for this school. Thank you so much for dropping by, and we hope it won't be too long before we see you again.

Once an eagle, always an eagle!!! 💜🦅

We were so glad to have Vincent Leutwiler (Class of 2004–2008) drop by for a visit!

Vincent is currently working as a Senior Admissions Manager at The Dawn Rehab Center right here in Chiang Mai. It's wonderful to know that a CMIS alumnus is doing such meaningful work in our own community.

With our move to a new campus coming up next year, Vincent wanted to make a point of visiting the current campus one last time — and we're so happy he did! During his time at school, he could almost always be found at his favorite hangout — the bleachers by the basketball court. Some things are just timeless!

Vincent reflected that CMIS gave him a rich, multicultural perspective on food, culture, and religion — one that has shaped him into the person he is today. With such a diverse school community, it's a gift that so many of our alumni carry with them long after graduation.

Thank you for coming back, Vincent. It's always a joy to reconnect.
Once an eagle, always an eagle!

A huge thank you to Myriam Gabaude for coming back to visit us! Myriam was a CMIS student from 1983 to 1986 and has since built a wonderful career in the airline industry. She reflects warmly on how her intercultural experience at CMIS laid the foundation for her international career — a testament to the lasting impact of our community.

Myriam brought her daughter along to see her childhood home and share treasured photos from her time here. It was a truly special moment watching those memories come alive across generations.

As we navigate the transition away from our current campus, visits like yours remind us that what makes CMIS truly special — its culture, its values, and its people — will never be lost.

"CMIS gave me an identity" - Liyang Yu

Thank you, Liyang Yu (Class of 2001), for coming back to visit us!

Liyang is now working in the finance industry in Singapore. With our move to a new campus coming up next year, he wanted to make one last trip to walk the grounds he knew so well — and we're so glad he did. During his visit, Liyang strolled through the school, caught up with former teachers, and exchanged thoughts on work and life.

He shared that some of his most cherished memories are the small, happy moments — racing back to class after the bell, or squeezing up to the water cooler with friends on a hot day. It's the little things that stick with you!

Liyang also spoke warmly about his favorite teacher, Ms. Wallace, his English teacher. She may have had a reputation for being strict, but it was precisely her dedication and high standards that laid a solid foundation for Liyang and his classmates.

Most meaningfully, Liyang reflected that what made CMIS truly special was that it gave him his identity — a sense of who he was within such a diverse classroom and community. And that sense of self, he says, has stayed with him to this day.

Thank you for the visit, Liyang — and for reminding us why what happens within these walls matters so much. 💜

Always and Eagle! 🦅
