Mindfulness in early childhood is often found in simple moments of focused play. 🌿

Through this mandala invitation, our learner carefully selected, arranged, and placed loose parts around a centre point, creating a unique design filled with colour and creativity. With no right or wrong way to create, the experience encouraged thoughtful choices, concentration, and attention to detail.

As the design gradually took shape, opportunities emerged to slow down, stay present, and enjoy the process—reminding us that mindfulness can grow through meaningful hands-on experiences. ✨

🍫 Our Little Chocolate Shop 🍫

To celebrate the end of our Special Week, the children worked together to create their very own Chocolate Shop.

From making chocoballs and preparing chocolate drinks to welcoming customers and handling money, the children experienced the journey of a small business from beginning to end.

Through this project, they explored much more than cooking. They practised teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making. They began to understand that money is earned through effort, planning, and working together towards a shared goal.

The children will then use the money they have earned to visit a nearby shop with their friends and educators to purchase a favourite snack together. This real-life experience helps them develop an early understanding of earning, spending, making choices, and seeing the value of their hard work.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our supportive customers – our families – for helping make this learning experience meaningful and memorable for the children.

Sometimes the most powerful learning happens when children can experience it for themselves. ❤️

👾 MASH MONSTERS PLAYGROUP 👾

Inspired by the book How to Mash Monsters, this playful morning invites children to explore, create, experiment, and bring their own monster ideas to life through hands-on experiences and play.

We look forward to welcoming little monster makers for a joyful morning together. :)

🌆 Our City

Using light, mirrors, projections, and open-ended materials, the children worked together to create Our City.

As they built, explored, and redesigned their structures, they shared ideas, solved problems, and discovered how light and reflection can transform a space. Through this collaborative work, children developed creativity, communication, spatial awareness, and a sense of community.

🏠✨ Building Our Little House Together

Today, the children worked together to paint and decorate our little house using ribbons, fabric pieces, and their own creative ideas. Through this shared project, they explored colour, strengthened their fine motor skills, and practised collaboration as they made decisions and created side by side. 🎨🤝

The little house has become a cosy space created by the children, for the children — a place for reading, chatting, resting, and enjoying time together as a community. 📚🏡

☀️ Building with Light and Colour

Children explored wooden blocks and coloured transparent panels, creating their own structures through open-ended play.

As they built, balanced, and rearranged the materials, they experimented with different ideas and discovered how sunlight could shine through the coloured panels to create beautiful reflections and shadows on the ground.

This simple invitation encouraged curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and plenty of joyful exploration.✨
