1. “Let’s take this offline.” - Stop talking about this right now; you’re wasting everyone’s time.

🇺🇸 5 Business Email Abbreviations (you need to know)

1. TL;DR - Too Long; Didn’t Read
Use it in informal emails to provide a short summary of a long message.

2. RE: - Regarding
It means “About this topic”. Most email programs automatically add “RE:” when you reply to an email.

3. CC - Carbon Copy
Use it when you want to send a copy of the email to someone who SHOULD KNOW about the conversation.

4. BCC - Blind Carbon Copy
Use it to send a copy of the email to someone SECRETLY.

You can use it:
To protect people’s email addresses when sending to a large group. To keep a manager informed without making it obvious.

5. OOO - Out Of Office
It means “I’m not available because I’m away from work.”

You can use it:
When you’re on vacation, traveling for business, attending a conference, or taking leave.

❌ THE PASSIVE LISTENING TRAP

Binging Netflix isn’t going to improve your spoken English.
It’s just the truth.

I’m a non-native English speaker who reached C2 in English (at least according to my IELTS test), and let me tell you...

passive listening is a trap.

You can’t learn to swim just by watching people in a pool, right?
To actually speak like a C2, you have to move your mouth.

Instead of just watching, try shadowing.
Pause the video, copy the actor’s exact rhythm and pronunciation, you can even record yourself.

🔻 If you PAUSE, and someone INTERRUPTS you, DON’T fight to speak over them.

Just let them finish.

Maintain eye contact, nod slowly, and let a heavy, three-second silence hang in the air after they stop.

Then, calmly say: ‘As I was saying...’
and pick up exactly where you left off.

This will allow you to control the situation.
And they won’t get offended.
They will probably recognize their mistake.
