Our Year 4 students recently shone in their Step into Classical Music performance, demonstrating a wonderful understanding of rhythm, melody, dynamics, and expression. Performing a variety of classical pieces, the children showed excellent focus, stage presence, and dedication.

At Charter, artistic excellence is deeply rooted in our relational culture. This performance was more than a showcase of musical skill; it was a powerful display of collaboration and mutual support. By lifting each other up on stage, our students grew in self-confidence and teamwork. This shared experience directly nurtures them to become Effective Communicators and Academically Successful learners who develop their full potential with resilience and adaptability. High outcomes happen when students feel safe, valued, and encouraged by those around them.

Thank you to the families and teachers who supported this inspiring journey. Discover how our inclusive, people-first community helps students thrive. Book a visit to experience Charter today.

Our Year 9 and Year 10 Computer Science students recently went on an exciting field trip to the BART LAB (Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology) at Mahidol University. The trip offered a brilliant opportunity for our students to look beyond the classroom and explore future career options at the intersection of engineering, medicine, and robotics.

Throughout the visit, students engaged with highly experienced university researchers and industry experts. They were introduced to cutting-edge, real-world projects, learning not only how these advanced systems are developed and used today, but also how ongoing research will shape the future of medical technology.

The students actively participated in various hands-on activities, witnessing firsthand how the coding and engineering concepts they learn in school are applied to save lives and improve healthcare.

We hope this immersive experience has inspired our students to aim high and achieve excellent things. By showing them the real-world impact of computer science, we aim to help them make informed, passionate decisions when choosing their college paths and future careers in a few years' time.

A big thank you to the team at BART LAB for hosting such an inspiring and educational day!

In Kindergarten, our young learners have recently started exploring letter sounds in phonics. Through matching letters to sounds, recognizing them in words, and playing Sound Bingo, they are learning to listen carefully. They have also begun blending sounds together using "robot talking" to read simple words and exploring alliteration.

At Charter, these first steps in reading are built entirely on relationships and confidence. Early literacy is more than an academic milestone; it is a relational one. Surrounded by supportive teachers and encouraging peers, our children build the confidence needed to try new sounds, share ideas, and collaborate.

By making phonics an interactive, shared experience where every child feels safe to participate, we are directly nurturing them to become Effective Communicators and Academically Successful independent learners from the very start. Academic excellence happens when children feel known and supported.

Thank you to everyone who attended our recent Coffee Morning to learn more about the developments in Thai learning for the next academic year. We truly valued the opportunity to share our thinking, listen to your questions, and discuss how we can continue to strengthen Thai language, culture, and identity within our international curriculum.

One of the key updates discussed was the adjustment from five dedicated Thai lessons per week to four. This is part of a wider curriculum development and is not about reducing the importance of Thai learning. Instead, we are creating richer and more meaningful opportunities for students to use and experience Thai throughout their school week.

Thai reading will become a focus within weekly library lessons, while elements of Thai geography and history will be thoughtfully integrated into IPC units. This supports bilingualism, deepens cultural understanding, and helps students make stronger connections between Thai and English learning.

Through Thai educational trips and future culture-focused ECAs, we aim to help students grow as Effective Communicators and Internationally Minded learners who understand, value, and engage with the culture around them.

What a fantastic way to end the week. Our Year 3 students brought energy, colour, and excitement to the stage with a wonderful performance inspired by the lively sounds of jazz and swing.

The children truly shone as they showcased their musical talents, including fantastic recorder playing, confident singing, improvised dancing, and creative expression. The stage came alive with bright colours, big smiles, and the wonderful personalities of every child.

Beyond the performance itself, this was a meaningful celebration of growth. It was special to see how much our Year 3 students have developed throughout the year, not only in confidence, but also in teamwork, resilience, and their ability to express themselves in front of an audience. Through the support of their teachers and one another, they demonstrated what it means to be Effective Communicators: sharing ideas, performing with confidence, and encouraging each other with kindness.

A huge thank you to Miss Air and the Year 3 team for creating such a joyful and memorable celebration of learning.

Despite our time in Year 1L coming to an end, our students remain incredibly enthusiastic about expanding their knowledge. To kick-start their new IPC "Green Fingers" topic, they got their hands dirty making caterpillar planters to plant fragrant dill seeds. The children also explored our natural environment, capturing observations through photography to create a beautiful garden collage.

At Charter, we believe a joyful, supportive environment is the exact mechanism through which academic excellence is achieved. This hands-on experience directly develops our School-wide Learner Outcomes (SLOs) by inspiring students to be Academically Successful, inquisitive, and independent learners. By actively investigating the world around them, our young learners build the early confidence to question, explore, and grow.

Hats on and compasses out, our Year 6 students set off for an exciting day of exploration at Rama IX Park. As part of their IPC Space Scientists unit, the children took part in a space-themed treasure hunt, using maps, compasses, and clues to navigate 20 hidden stations. Working in teams, they put their orienteering, communication, and problem-solving skills to the test in the real world.

At Charter, we believe deep learning happens when students are actively engaged and supportive of one another. This experience directly drives our School-wide Learner Outcomes (SLOs) as Critical Thinkers and Effective Communicators. By navigating challenges together, students developed resilience, listened to diverse viewpoints, and learned that academic excellence is a collaborative journey. When children feel safe to take risks and explore, their confidence and ambition thrive.
