Josephine's enduring love for her alma mater was evident throughout her life. CHELSEA MOHAN MAKES HISTORY: ONLY ENGLISH-SPEAKING CARIBBEAN KARATE ATHLETE TO QUALIFY FOR 2026 CAC GAMES

We proudly celebrate Chelsea Mohan, alumna of Holy Faith Convent, Couva, who has made history with an outstanding sporting milestone.

Chelsea has officially become the only Karate athlete from an English-speaking Caribbean country to qualify for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, a remarkable achievement that places her among the region’s elite competitors on the international stage.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Form 4 Principles of Business Students Experience Business in Action at Angostura Distilleries

Our Form 4 Principles of Business students recently embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to Angostura Distilleries and Bottlers Limited, where they gained first-hand experience of business concepts in action.

The visit provided students with valuable insight into the production function of a manufacturing business. From observing the large-scale manufacturing process behind the world-famous Angostura bitters to witnessing the bitters assembly line in operation, students were able to connect classroom learning with real-world business practices.

The tour brought key Principles of Business concepts to life, including division of labour, specialization, productivity, quality control, and mechanized production. Students also explored the company's marketing strategies, learning how branding, packaging, product presentation, heritage, and reputation contribute to building a successful global brand.

A highlight of the experience was the opportunity to visit the Angostura Museum, where students learned about the history of the company's founders and the development of Angostura bitters into an internationally recognized product. The butterfly collection added a unique cultural and educational dimension to the tour.

This enriching experience allowed our students to deepen their understanding of production and marketing while appreciating the significant contributions of Angostura to Trinidad and Tobago's manufacturing sector and cultural heritage.

KAVERI LALLA MAKES HISTORY!

Holy Faith Convent, Couva proudly celebrates Kaveri Lalla of Form 4, who has achieved an extraordinary milestone in the Wizdom CRM Sustainable Stock Exchange Game – National Secondary Schools Competition.

Competing against more than 16,000 students from six Caribbean countries, Kaveri emerged as the National Champion, securing 1st Place in Trinidad and Tobago and earning a place among the Top 3 competitors in the Caribbean.

In a truly historic achievement, Kaveri has become the first female student to win the competition in its six-year history across the Caribbean region. Her success reflects exceptional dedication, strategic thinking, financial acumen, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

The Sustainable Stock Exchange Game challenges students to navigate real-world investment scenarios while developing financial literacy, analytical skills, and an understanding of sustainable business practices. Kaveri's outstanding performance demonstrates the very best of what young leaders can achieve when determination meets opportunity.

This achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a proud moment for Holy Faith Convent, Couva, as we celebrate our 75th Anniversary under the theme of faith, excellence, leadership, and service.

Student Spotlight: Celebrating Resilience

At Holy Faith Convent, Couva, we are proud to recognize Lauralee Basdeo of Form 1H, a young woman whose courage, determination, and faith continue to inspire all who know her.

Lauralee's journey has not been an easy one. Having lost her father at a very young age and later experiencing the loss of several family members who helped raise her, she has faced challenges that many adults would struggle to overcome. Yet, through every hardship, she has demonstrated extraordinary resilience and strength of character.

Rather than allowing adversity to define her, Lauralee has embraced every opportunity to grow and excel. An accomplished student-athlete and cultural ambassador, she has distinguished herself in football, cricket, long-distance running, and tassa drumming. Her dedication recently earned her a scholarship to train at Nicholas Pooran's batting academy, while her talent as a tassa player has seen her perform at public events alongside some of Trinidad and Tobago's most celebrated musicians.

As a proud student of her first-choice school, Holy Faith Convent, Couva, Lauralee embodies the values of perseverance, faith, and excellence. Her story reminds us that our circumstances do not determine our future; rather, it is our response to those circumstances that shapes who we become.

In Lauralee's own words:
