Workshop in Arusha, delineating the outer limits of the continental shelf in accordance with article 76, UNCLOS ๐น๐ฟ

The University of the Faroe Islands has joined forces once more with the African Institute of International Law in the preparation of yet another SACS, the opening of which was held in festive circumstances in Arusha, Tanzania. This yearยดs academy is joined by 41 participants, selected from a pool of 120 applications, from 18 different countries, including, but not limited to, Sao Tome e Principe, Namibia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Benin and many others ๐.
During this week, the participants will be enrichened with lectures from judges at international courts, leading scholars, members of the CLCS and practitioners.
We are happy to announce that the Summer Academy on the Continental Shelf, under the auspices of the University of the Faroe Islands and the African Institute of International Law, will reconvene in Arusha, Tanzania, from 21 โ 27 April 2024.
Deadline for submitting applications is 15 February 2024. Applications should be sent to [email protected], with copy to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than 15 February 2024. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
Applications should contain: (1) Personal Statement, (2) CV, (3) relevant diploma(s) and (4) two reference letters.
