St.

Constantine's International School was founded in 1952 by the Greek immigrant community that originally settled in East Africa in the 1920 and 30’s. The school’s original classrooms were next to the town’s only Greek Orthodox Church. Though our school is secular and non-denominational, welcoming pupils from every religion and culture, the church itself is still part of our current 35 acre campus.

Our students brought their A-game to the Chess Tournament this past Saturday, and the results were incredible! Out of 3 major categories, SCIS took home the top spot in two of them.

A massive congratulations to our champions:
🥇 Shashwat-Winner of the 5-9 Category
🥇 Zach-Winner of the 14+ Category

It takes a serious amount of focus, strategy, and patience to dominate on the board, and these two showed exactly what it means to keep your head in the game.

Sometimes the best classrooms don’t have walls. Looking back at Year 2’s Adventure Week, it wasn’t just about the games or the pool, it was about that magic that happens when friends try something brand new together for the first time. Those "I did it!" moments are the ones they’ll still be talking about years from now.

"The best way to learn is to experience."

Our young writers had the best time celebrating all their hard work at the Story Flani Writing Club! We wrapped up the term with a proper celebration: a photoshoot, a story sharing session, and of course, some refreshments.

The best part? Every student headed home with a printed copy of their very own book! And even better, a copy of each story is being added to our Primary Library for the whole school to enjoy.

Olympia takes the crown!

What a day at the pool! The energy was 10/10 at our Secondary Inter-house Swimming Gala. From the first dive to the final relay, the competition was fierce, but in the end, Olympia swam their way to the top spot!

SCIS is officially a BAKITA Centre! 🇹🇿🙌

Big news for our school community! Last week, SCIS was recognized as a BAKITA Centre for Swahili Language and Culture.

What does this mean? It means our students and teachers can earn a Swahili language qualification straight from the Tanzanian government that is respected all over the world. This is our second year running these exams, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our community embraces the language and culture of Tanzania.
