The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) invites national geological associations and other geological organisations worldwide to submit proposals to co-organise the 6th International Professional Geology Conference (IPGC 2027), planned for autumn 2027.

IPGC is the leading international forum for professional geoscience, focusing on skills, standards, sustainability, geoethics, and the evolving role of geologists in society. Co-organising IPGC 2027 offers a unique opportunity to gain international visibility, help shape the global professional geoscience agenda, and build lasting partnerships across policy, industry, academia, and early-career communities.

Proposal submission deadline: 31 March 2026
Decision announcement: 2 May 2026
Start of organisation with selected partner: May 2026
