Sub-Saharan Africa is lagging behind other regions on most Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). However, the region has achieved more than 60% of the progress required to reach such goals as gender parity, primary school completion, access to safe water, and extreme poverty reduction by 2015. Good news: The Government of Tanzania has appointed Germinus Paul Nyeho an AKU IEDEA alumni as a Tutor to the MARUKU RESEARCH AND TRAINING INSTITUTE, MARUKU also doubles as a Zonal Tanzania Coffee Research Institute (TACRI). Germinus is going to apply the teaching and research skills learnt under AKU tutelage to improve standards in this area. Congratulations on your new appointment!
