Shoes for Tanzania led by Alpha Kisusi and with the support of .chazzerrrs and hold a two day tryouts for U16 and U18 girls and boys with the support of Mambo basketball and Tanzania Basketball Federation at Gymkhana Grounds.

This camp would allow 6 players to get a scholarship for basketball development in Canada 🇨🇦

We have participated with 6 girls and one boy - Thinina, Najma, Jovitha, Happiness, Rahma, Mariam and Venance.

And out of six places, our very own Najma Manji has been selected 🤯

Congratulations to you and all other young players chasing their dreams.

The kids Roots Basketball Training Camp brought girls a lot of fun 🎉🎉

It's a full circle moment to witness coach Denis Lipiki coaching with his former player Paschal Benedictor (now coaching at Kigamboni Academy), a kind reminder of the importance of these moments. Coaches out there make sure you bring your best version to every practice, kids listen and learn, and mostly They never forget you 🔥💓

Women Basketball Africa League Qualifiers, Nairobi 🇰🇪

From the 10th to the 15th of November, Tanzania 🇹🇿 was represented by (5th place) and (9th place) in the Zone 5 Qualifiers.

Tanzania has participated in the Basketball tournament with three women's teams - Dar es Salaam, Arusha and Singida and two men's teams - Dar es Salaam and Mwanza.
Juhudi Secondary School represented Dar es Salaam with 5x5 and 3x3 teams in both categories.

🎉 Dar es Salaam Youth Bonanza organized by Tanzania Women Basketball Legends on the 9th of August.

We managed to attend the youth bonanza on Saturday having four teams:
- U12 girls - 1st runner up 🥈
- U12 boys - 1st runner up 🥈
- U14 girls - Winners and Mariam Ramadhan was crowned MVP 🥇🏆
- U14 boys - group stage

All teams were given a set of jerseys, runners up got basketballs as gifts 🏀🏀, and the winners took home the cup and the medals.

Congratulations to all players and especially to our upcoming coaches: coach Elizabeth and anc coach Erick. Work work work!!

In Februrary, coach Albertho Kigoye, former UBA player and enthusiastic leader, has received Dime Basketball Denmark at Bwalo la Umwema JKT, Morogoro.

Albertho has always shown his passion for basketabll and especially for his UBA family. Despite the fact that he can't be daily with us, he is implementing our philosopy in Morogoro, helping his community and forming the next future tanzanian basketball stars.

Coach Denis Lipiki has also joined the workshop where they were introduced to the methodology of Easybasketball to promote the game of basketball to players at young ages.

We were very pleased to update our methods and tools and to understand that our missions are so similiar, we use basketball to enhance our community and to build the capacity of our players to succeed in life.
