*Celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (atfs) at Bilal Comprehensive School*

There was incredible energy at the school campus this morning as students in birthday caps, holding banners and balloons, clad in sashes with the wordings 'Soldier of Imam' gathered on the ground in order to celebrate the birthday of the Imam of the time and renew their alligiences to him.

The celebrations were graced by the presence of Sheikh Nabil Awan (visiting Sheikh to KSIJ, Syed Adeel Raza (resident sheikh at KSIJ), accompanied by Alhaj Anwar Dharamsi and BMMT chairman Alhaj Hussein Karim.

After welcoming the guest of honor - the Imam himself, students and staff participated in a parade around the campus, calling out to the Imam, 'here I am, I am your soldier'. Both girls and boys marched around the campus in rhythm symbolizing that they are preparing to be the soldiers in his army!

This was followed by the flag raising ceremony. Dignitaries and invited guests came together and hoisted the Al-Mahdi flag high above the campus while reciting Dua Hujjat in unison.

Loud chants of Labbayk Ya Mahdi echoed in the campus in Temeke!

Everyone then gathered at the Hussainia Hall, where little nursery children recited a heartwarming poem asking Imam where he was 'I am looking for you, I am waiting for you...'
The older students performed a ngonjera and memorised 5 hadith which talk about the coming of the Mahdi (atfs).

Sheikh Nabil Awan spoke a few words, enlightening the crowd that we must stop thinking about the 313 soldiers as being other people, rather actively thinking as oneself as the 313th soldier and what it means to do active intezar.

We pray that our efforts are accepted, and just as the flag of Al Mahdi flies high over the campus today – we pray the Imam has his guiding hand over us always! Amen.https://youtu.be/Q-j7aJqtKn0
