AZANDE STUDENTS UNION IN UGANDA LEADERS VISITS AVANCE UNIVERSITY.
The Azande Students Union in Uganda on the day 1st June, 2026 delegated a team to AVANCE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY to make a follow up on the progress of the thirty (30) half bursary which was given to Azande Students.

The team which went to the University comprised of the President of the Union H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph, the General Secretary of the Union Hon. Kiweyo Gabriel Kosu Peter and the Education minister of the union Hon. Morris Siani Martin Sidigi.

On the visit to AVANCE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY, the ASUU team had a meeting with the Vice Councelor of the University, the Registrar and other Executive board members of which they discussed a number of factors which include;
1. Maintaining the agreement of the 30 half bursary which was offered to Azande Students Union in Uganda.
2. Admitting of the Students on time for the (August intake).
3. Provision of a good and equal learning environment to all the students in the University
4. Working hand in hand with the Union leadership for the progress of the Scholarship.
5. Eradication of the delay in giving in the admission (Acceptance) letters to the Students.
6. Cooperation with both the students and the leadership of ASUU for a better learning environment.

The Vice Councelor of the University appreciated the steps taken by the leadership of ASUU of cooperating with them to see that other students obtain the opportunity of advancing in their education. He also promised to maintain the agreement of the scholarship by the school as stipulated in the written document. The Vice Councelor also called upon all the the ASUU leadership to always make a follow up on the scholarship program for the success of the students. He further welcomed all the Azande students to grab the opportunity of the bursary provided by the School as it contains favourable terms and conditions.

The president of the Union H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph together with his team thanked the Vice Councelor of the University together with his team for all the remarks and cooperation shown and promised to work hand in hand with the University administration for a better success of the Scholarship program.

A total number of two (2) Azande students were admitted for the March intake of which they started the learning program and
a total number of Seven (7) Azande Students were admitted today on the 1st June, 2026 for the half bursary Scholarship program.

The ASUU administration therefore calls upon all the Azande Students who are interested in the program to grab the Opportunity of the Scholarship since the school has both Science and Art courses.

ASUU UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF H.E WENEPAI JOSHUA JOSEPH CONDUCTS THE PROJECT OF STUDENTS OUTREACH IN ARUA REGION AT ST. THOMAS ABIRAMBATI CHURCH.
The leadership of ASUU under H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph on the day Monday 9th February, 2025 further went ahead to conduct their first project of Students outreach in Arua region at .

The Students outreach included distribution of scholastic materials to students and pupils in Arua region like books, bags, pens, sets and pads for girls. This project of the Students outreach which was carried out in Arua benefited over 60 students who received the Scholastic materials to support them as most schools open.

The President together with the Speaker of ASUU Hon. Adesa James Keliona were the initiaters of the program from the central leadership of ASUU who teamed up with the leaders representing ASUU in Arua region.

The Students outreach project which was carried out in Arua pulled Large crowds of elders and the leaders who came to witness program like the Community leaders of Arua, Youth leaders, Zone leaders and Arua ASUU student leaders who combined efforts together with ASUU executives from the central leadership to grace the success of the function in terms of the distribution of the materials to the students.

Addressing the large crowds of the students and people who gathered, the president of ASUU H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph extended much thanks to all the Azande leaders of Arua for cooperating with the Union so that the program can take place. He highlighted and explained more on the opportunities of the half bursary scholarship which was got by ASUU in AVANCE and Apex international Universities of which he echoed out for the students in Arua region to fully participate through applying for it using ASUU administration. He encouraged all the students to be the medium of peace and love for one another.

ASUU UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF H.E WENEPAI JOSHUA JOSEPH CONDUCTS THE PROJECT OF STUDENTS OUTREACH IN BWEYALE AT UNITY CHURCH.
The leadership of ASUU under H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph on the day Sunday 8th February, 2025 conducted their first project of Students outreach in Bweyale at Unity Church.

The Students outreach included distribution of scholastic materials to students and pupils in Bweyale like books, bags, pens, sets and pads for girls. This project of the Students outreach which was carried out in Bweyale benefited over 70 students who received the Scholastic materials to support them as the schools open.

The President of ASUU led a delegation of four student's honourable Ministers to initiate the project who included the ASUU Speaker Hon. Adesa Keliona, the General Secretary Hon. Kiweyo Gabriel, the deputy general Secretary Hon. Bakoyogo Godwill John and the minister of parliamentary affairs Hon. Prisca Daniel.

The Students outreach project which was carried out in Bweyale pulled Large crowds of elders and the leaders who came to witness program like the Deputy Chairperson of Bweyale, Youth leader, Zone leaders and Bweyale ASUU student leaders who combined efforts together with ASUU executives from the central leadership to grace the success of the function in terms of the distribution of the materials to the students from different levels of university, colleges, Secondary and primary levels

On behalf of the Azande students living in Bweyale region, the general Secretary of the region addressed all the challenges, progress, function, plans and expectations of the Union branch in Bweyale region to the Central ASUU leadership which was documented. She also went ahead to give the mandate to the Central leadership of ASUU to address the students amicably.

AZANDE STUDENTS UNION LEADERS ATTENDS THE PEACE TONOURMENT PROGRAM IN NAIROBI.
The Azande Students Union in Uganda leadership had the privilege to attend the first Session of the peace tonourment in Nairobi organized by the Executive director of Sun Rays Foundation Amb. Simon Mikanipare in partnership with Zatech University

The delegation of the Azande Students Union leaders who went to Nairobi for the Peace tonourment included the President H.E Wenepai Joshua, the general Secretary Hon. Kiweyo Gabriel, the Speaker of the Union Hon. Adesa Keliona, the minister of Health Hon. Kparabatiko Martin, the minister of parliamentary affairs Hon. Prisca Daniel and the Deputy General Secretary Hon. Bakoyogo.

The program of the Peace tonourment led by Amb. Simon Mikanipare the Executive director of Sun Rays Foundation With his team in partnership with Zatech University was enriched by one of the Youth mentor from Japan Mr. Weldon Siele the founder of Kecher Africa who educated all the participants in the program on how obtaining education from different countries can create peace and change in our Societies.

The program was also graced by an African Regional representative of the Global Peace Foundation who lectured on Peace Building : Youth as Ambassadors of peace through Sports which was so educative and courageous to the participants.

The participants from different countries managed to learn, gain wisdom, interact , ask questions and benefited a lot from the program since they were potentially equipped by the presenters with sufficient knowledge and skills on how to promote peace through Sports.

Azande Christmas Celebrations in Arua

The Azande Christmas celebrations commenced yesterday in Arua, bringing together students, parents, elders, and the wider Azande community in a spirit of unity and joy. The event was graced by Hon. Pia Phillips as the Guest of Honour, whose presence added great value to the celebration.

In his address, Hon. Pia Phillips, the Guest of Honour, strongly emphasized the importance of peace and unity among the Azande people and the wider community. He called upon students, parents, and elders to embrace love, tolerance, and mutual respect as key pillars for sustainable peace. Hon. Pia Phillips expressed his deep appreciation and love for Azande culture, urging the Students and community to preserve and promote their cultural values as a source of identity and strength.

He further highlighted the need for collective responsibility in building and protecting our nation, encouraging young people to become ambassadors of peace, patriotism and positive change.

The President of the Azande Students Union in Uganda H.E Wenepai Joshua Joseph was among the invited guests and delivered an inspiring speech addressed to students, parents, and the community. In his remarks, the President emphasized the importance of education, discipline, unity, and peaceful coexistence.

He encouraged students to remain focused on their studies, respect their parents and elders and become responsible leaders of tomorrow. He also called upon parents and community members to continue supporting education and guiding young people with love and wisdom.

The celebrations reflected strong cultural pride, togetherness, and hope for a peaceful and prosperous future for the Azande people.

Greetings Azande students union in Uganda.

The union had its first general assembly today and it went successful. The speaker and her deputy took an oath as the beginning of working for the wellbeing of the students.

The speaker mrs Adesa kiliona requested the assembly to work hand in hand with her office to ensure the needs of the students are met in this regime that she is serving.

The president of the Union His excellence Wenepai Joshua requested the assembly to always put the good image of the union out there instead of the bad one. He also said we should sensitize the students about the existence of the union so that those who do not know about the union can get to know about since it has been a little quiet for a very long time.

The guest of honor, mr Anthony Kumbayek Bazigngbi encouraged the students to remain committed to working with the union to ensure there are changes that will open ways for the students.

The guest of honor also said, for the students to get support from the people, the leadership should be very organized and prepare projects that can contribute to the wellbeing of the students as well as for Azande people at large.

The leadership under his Excellence Wenepai Joshua will remain committed to serving the Azande students union in Uganda in a proper way for prosperity among the students.
