Lus ThePoet’s “Anatomy of Remembrance” is a performance poem installation that explores memory as something the body carries, something that lives in fragments, in silence, and in what cannot always be spoken.

📅 Friday 19th June 2026
📍GZK Basement
⏰ 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Blending live performance, visual imagery, and poetic text, the work unfolds through the visual language of identification and archiving.

Lus’ performance poem installation reflects on how experiences / particularly those shaped by silence, survival, oppression, and erasure: are often reduced, labeled, or filed away. Yet the body still manages to remember more than what is recorded. The body still insists on holding traces of lived experiences that resist easy telling.

Audience members are invited to move through the space as witnesses, encountering the work as one would encounter memory itself: non-linear, intimate, and at times unsettling.

The Kraftor Publication Launch Event was a phenomenal experience. It began with presentations from participants of the Inaugural Kraftor Art and Architecture Journalism Workshop Series. Each participant showcased their work and insights, focusing on the murals at Makerere University, as well as other pieces that serve as archives outside traditional museum settings.

This was followed by a stunning exhibition of selected works projected onto the ceiling of our basement, creating an immersive view for the audience.

The evening was filled with compelling analysis and stunning architecture. Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to .studio for this wonderful gathering.
