Yesterday we celebrated our excellent performance in the 2025 UCE and UACE examinations and also welcomed S1, 5 and other new students to the mighty BCK. The celebrations began with Holy Mass in both sections, officiated by Fr Joseph Sentomero in the Boarding section and Fr Fred Kasereka in the Day section.
Our top nine students who scored 6As across 9 subjects in the UCE examinations were awarded full bursaries for A-Level.
Each of the sixteen science students who scored 20 points, and the three best students in Arts with 19 points, were awarded brand-new laptops.
Heads of Departments for the various subjects were also awarded heavy envelopes for their excellent performance.
Quality Chemical Industries Ltd, in Luzira, has, in partnership with and in the spirit of good neighbourliness, offered six slots for Vocational Employment to our best students in Sciences and Arts.

Yesterday, we hosted a staff end-of-year party at school, starting with Mass to thank God for guiding us through the 2025 academic year. The event was graced by members of the Board of Governors. Additionally, participants exchanged gifts as we ushered in the festive season.

Yesterday, we held a colourful Christmas Carols event at school featuring performances from various student choirs, including the Mother Teresa Girls' Choir, Sts. Stephen & Leonard Kabul Boys, BCK Boarding Choir, BCK Day Choir, and the BCK staff choir. We were also joined by the Glorious Queen Choir from St James Catholic Church, Bbiina Parish.

On Sunday, 6th July 2025, we held a colourful swearing in ceremony of new student leaders for 2025/26 and handover ceremony in both Day and Boarding section.
The new prefects were encouraged to serve with integrity and dedication and also remember to balance leadership with academics. The old guard was greatly appreciated for the great leadership they rendered during their term of service, and encouraged to continue pursuing more leadership roles in future.

Earlier this week, students took to the ballot to elect new student leaders for the next prefectorial body, after undergoing a series of campaigns in the previous weeks. The new leaders will be sworn in on 6th July 2025.

END OF TERM ONE - 2025
We greet you all in the name of the living Lord! Term one 2025 has ended today, Saturday, 26th April 2025. We thank the Almighty God for His love, blessings and protection. To those who lost their dear ones, please accept our sincere condolences. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in eternal peace. AMEN!

ACADEMICS
Our school has continued to excel in the National Examination and is one of the best schools in the country. Of the 293 who sat for the Uganda Certificate Examinations (UCE) last year, 293 got result One. For A 'level, 5 students scored 20 aggregates, 17 scored 19 aggregates, 18 scored 18 aggregates, and only 2 did not have two principal passes.
Senior four and six students were given resourceful mocks for end of term. Since these papers will be marked during the holidays, they have no end-of-term one reports.
The rest of the classes did end-of-term one exams and have been given reports.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Our children participated in the Nakawa District Secondary Schools football competitions, and our school emerged as the overall winner. We also represented Nakawa in the Kampala Zonal football competitions and took fifth place.
BCK also participated in the Kampala Secondary School Basketball Competitions. We qualified to represent Kampala in the National Competitions in Bukedia, which will take place from May 5th to 14th, 2025.
Inter-house Music, Dance, and Drama competitions will take place next term on July 5th, 2025. All parents are invited.
REPORTING BACK FOR SECOND TERM
Senior 4 & 6 shall report back on Sunday, 18th and 19th May 2025, for Boarding/Hostel and Day scholars, respectively. This is to enable us revise the resourceful exams they did at the end of first term. The Candidates will also have their Prom party on Saturday, 24th May 2025.
Senior 1, 2, 3 & 5 shall report back on Sunday, 25th and 26th May 2025 for Boarding/Hostel and Day scholars, respectively.
All S3 students should come with their Primary Living Examination (PLE) result slips and birth certificates (Required by UNEB)
All S1, S5, and new students who joined the school in 2025 should come with their LINs from their former schools.
Please ensure your child does not tamper with the school uniform. Any adjustments shall be made at school and with the consent of the teacher in charge of uniforms. Any student who shall tamper with the school uniform shall go on suspension for two weeks and buy a new set of uniforms at double price.

Today, we celebrated our excellent performance in the 2024 UCE and UACE examinations. The celebrations started with Holy Mass led by Fr Dr Pius Male, the Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese, assisted by our Director, Fr Mbaleeba; Fr Fred, the school chaplain; and Fr Joseph, the chaplain of Luzira Prisons.
Fr Pius congratulated the school on its good performance and called upon students to always be obedient to their teachers and parents and keep working hard to keep the school flag high.
All 349 candidates who sat UCE examinations under the new lower secondary curriculum introduced in 2020 obtained Result One, and they all qualify to get certificates from UNEB.
Our seven UCE top performers with 6As and better were awarded full school bursaries at A'level.
In our 2024 UACE Examination Results, 5 students scored 20 points, 9 students scored 19 points l, 32 students with 18 points, 18 students with 17 points, 23 students with 16 points, 25 students with 15 points, 33 students with 14 points, 30 students with 13 points, 28 students with 12 points, 27 students with 11 points and 40 students with 10 points.
The 5 top students with 20 points were rewarded each with a brand new laptop to help them in their further studies.
