$100 million in major construction and renovations are underway on our campus, from the renovated biology and cybersecurity labs in 2025 to the ongoing construction of our academic building and renovation of our physical education building. The investment is “seen as a potential opportunity to help start to reimagine what our campus could be,” as Chancellor Gary Liguori states.

Last month, students embarked on a short-term travel program to Poland to study the country’s rich history of extreme violence and altruism. Among those students was fourth-year business major Jonellis Heredia (pictured second from the left in photo 1) who took the experience as a learning opportunity to apply to her future career field.

“…[I]t helped me better understand people while also exposing me to a different culture and environment. Learning about Poland's history and experiencing daily life there gave me a new perspective and helped me appreciate viewpoints that may be different from my own. The experience challenged me to adapt to new environments, navigate unfamiliar situations, and become more comfortable outside of my comfort zone.”

Through the Abington Experience, the roadmap that launches students from campus to career, students like Heredia have access to a wide range of short-term academic travel opportunities that help them apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world experiences.
