Congratulations to Albany High senior Noah Bizer for finishing fourth in the Class A 800m run at the New York State Outdoor Track and Field Championship!

This is the fifth consecutive sports season that Bizer has competed at the state level, and he did not disappoint!

After running the seventh fastest 800m time in Section 2 history and breaking a 31-year-old Albany High record at the state qualifier meet, Bizer ran a solid 1:54.2 race in an extremely competitive heat at the state championship meet this past weekend. Out of the 53 best 800m runners in New York State, he placed thirteenth overall.

Bizer will continue his running career at the collegiate level at Amherst College this fall, competing in both cross country and track and field.

We also congratulate Terrique Francis for placing seventh in the Class A 100m dash finals with a time of 11:06 seconds.

Our 4x100m relay team―Nyerere Young, Javanni Garland-Santana, Nasief Smith and Terrique Francis―delivered a strong performance, placing ninth in Class A with a time of 42.43 seconds.

Falcons, we are extremely proud of you!

We LOVED recognizing the growth and accomplishments of our modified sports teams at Tuesday’s Middle School Athletics Celebration!

Albany High’s turf was hopping with student athletes from all three seasons – and all three middle schools - enjoying games, community and, of course, pizza and snacks!

Thank you to our middle school PTAs and the AHS Booster Club for your support and we can’t wait to witness the continued success of our Junior Falcons, both at the mod and high-school levels.

William S. Hackett Middle School is bringing home the 'chip (and bragging rights)!

During Tuesday's sixth annual Albany Middle School Championship, Hackett beat Myers in a thrilling game, scoring on a last touchdown pass with five seconds left to claim the trophy!

Congratulations to the Hackett Hawks on this well-deserved win and, also, all our modified student athletes who represented their schools with pride on the turf.

We are so excited for our Middle School Athletics Celebration, which will take place on Tuesday, June 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Albany High Stadium!

Save the date for our Middle School Athletics Celebration on Tuesday, June 16!

Student-athletes are invited to join us for pizza, drinks, games and activities from 4-6 p.m. at Albany High.

Festivities will move inside Albany High in the event of rain or inclement weather.

Students can take the CDTA Tripper or the Yellow Bus which will pick up at North Albany at 3 p.m., Albany International Academy at 3:15 p.m., Hackett at 3:30 p.m. and Myers at 3:45 p.m.

Parents/guardians, please pick up your student from the Albany High School Stadium at 5:30 p.m.

Falcons and families! Please note that open gym session and Teen Time are canceled for Friday, June 12.

Albany Athletics is excited to invite City School District of Albany students ages 8-14 to free softball clinics hosted at Arbor Hill Softball Field on Sunday, July 26 and Monday, August 3!

The clinics will be led by JV Head Softball Coach Joe Mannarino and JV Assistant Softball Coach Riley Adams.

Participants will enjoy developmental softball drills, fun games and water play and a free Albany Falcon t-shirt!

All skill levels are welcome. You must provide your own transportation to and from the clinic.

Please bring a water bottle, towel, softball glove and sneakers or cleats.

Congratulations to Albany High outdoor track and field athletes—Nasief Smith, Nyerere Young, Terrique Francis, Javanni Garland-Santana and Noah Bizer—for incredible performances at the Section 2 state qualifier meet that earned them the opportunity to compete in the upcoming state championship!

Bizer crossed the finish line second in the 800m run with a phenomenal time of 1:52.4. He smashed the Albany High record for this event, which was set back in 1995 by Marcel Burke!

Terrique Francis set a new personal record in the 100m dash, finishing first in the event with a blazing fast time of 10.8 seconds!

Our boys' 4x100m relay team— Nasief Smith, Nyerere Young, Terrique Francis and Javanni Garland-Santana—soared into first place with an incredible time of 42.9 seconds!
