What an incredible start to Academy Summer!
This week our Classic Camps were filled with smiling faces, new friendships, creative projects, games, songs, outdoor adventures, team-building activities, and so many unforgettable moments.
From the moment campers arrived each morning until the final pickup of the day, our campus was buzzing with energy, laughter, curiosity, and fun.
A huge thank you to our outstanding teachers, counselors, coordinators, and support staff who work tirelessly to create a safe, engaging, and joyful experience for every camper. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication are what make Academy Summer so special.
Most importantly, thank you to our campers for bringing your excitement, kindness, and adventurous spirit every day. Watching friendships grow and confidence soar is why we do what we do.
Week One may be over, but we’re just getting started!

✍️ For many students, the college essay becomes one of the most important and challenging parts of the application process, and not every high school offers dedicated college essay support.
📚 This focused weeklong summer workshop gives rising seniors from across the Capital Region expert guidance, daily feedback, and dedicated writing time before application season begins.
🎓 Led by Mr. Tim Fitzmaurice, Albany Academy English faculty member and head of Albany Academy’s Writing Center, students will strengthen their writing, develop their personal story, and leave with a polished draft ready for submission.
