Meet MEI Christian Amador!

Christian is 390 hours into his flying career and already bringing that experience into instructing. His favorite aircraft is the U-2 spy plane. His favorite aviation movie is The Wind Rises, the Studio Ghibli film about the man who designed the Zero. That’s a thoughtful pick and not one you hear every day.

When he’s ready for a good meal in Albuquerque, he heads to S-A BBQ. Mexican and BBQ combined, we’re down with that! It’s great to have Christian on the Del Sol team!

Meet CFII Aaron Sullivan!

Aaron started flying at 22 and has since built 1,715 hours in the logbook. His favorite aircraft is the MC-130J, which tells you he either has impeccable taste in military hardware, has played a lot of Call of Duty, or both. His go-to aviation movie is THE classic.. Top Gun. And when it’s time to eat in Albuquerque, he goes straight to Vernon’s.

Meet MEI Colby Traynor, and congratulations are in order. Colby just hit 500 total hours, hitting that milestone in just 2 years of flying. That’s worth celebrating.

His favorite aircraft is the Grumman G-21 Goose, which is a fantastic pick! 🪿 His go-to movie is Stealth. And when he’s hungry in Albuquerque, he heads to Ponderosa Brewing Company. 🍻

Meet CFII Randy Herring! Randy has 650 hours in the logbook and when he’s flying at Del Sol he’ll tell you aircraft 938 is his favorite on the line. Ask him about his overall favorite though and the answer is the Boeing 737. Man has range.

His go-to aviation movie is Snakes on a Plane, which is a perfectly valid choice and we’re not here to judge. 🐍 🐍

When he wants a good meal in Albuquerque he heads to Casa de Benavidez. Now that place is fire!

Meet CFI Matthew Johnson, who’s been flying since he was 14‼️🤯 By the time most of us were figuring out how to drive, he was already logging hours!

His favorite aircraft is the P-51 Mustang, his favorite aviation movie is Interstellar and his go-to restaurant in Albuquerque is Tai Spice! 🌶️ 🍜
