Our 8th graders are almost at the finish line — and their Field Day + Food Truck Day is one of the big final celebrations before promotion! 🎓🏃‍♀️🍔🎉

But the weather is looking hot, hot, hotter ☀️🔥, so we need extra grown-up backup and more shade to keep the day running smoothly.

🙌 Volunteers — 1-hour and 90-minute slots available
⛺ Tents/canopies — shade makes a huge difference
💧 Help with water and student needs
🍔 Support with food truck flow
📍 Grown-ups to point students in the right direction

No special skills required — just a willingness to help and embrace a little organized 8th-grade chaos. 😄

These are the end-of-middle-school memories our students will carry with them — and we need our GW community to help make them fun, safe, shaded, and well-supported.

Tomorrow is looking like a gorgeous Field Day kind of day — sunny, close to 80°, low humidity, and officially a “Nice Day!” 😎☀️

But even if it won’t be hot-hot-hot, our 6th graders still need grown-up backup — and plenty of water! 💧

We could use a few more volunteers to help keep Field Day running smoothly, cheer students on, point kids in the right direction, hand out water, and embrace a little organized middle school chaos. 🏃‍♀️🎉

Promotion signs are now available to order! Celebrate your 8th grader and show your GW pride.

8th-grade shirts will also be available during 8th-grade lunch today and tomorrow. Students who pre-ordered can pick theirs up, and shirts will also be available for purchase for $20 while supplies last.
