Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas this year is for Spirit Park to be less windy today.

Everybody and their mom — but not their turtle — moved in this week’s edition of the Power Rankings.

Coming off back-to-back weekly championship game appearances, the Crooked Rooks have rocketed up to the No. 2 spot. After just five weeks, Who’s Your Daddy is two wins away from tying their franchise season wins record, and at their current pace, they might just collect both of those wins in Week 6. On the other end of the spectrum, the Blue Ballers find themselves as low has they have ever been in the five-year history of the TWBL Power Rankings.

Taylor Raglin absolutely shoved on Wednesday night, earning Week 5 Player of the Week honors.

The Who’s Your Daddy ace had it all working on the mound this week. His knuckleball has tortured hitters all season, but in Week 5, Taylor took his entire arsenal to a new level of nasty. 3 shutouts in a single night is a feat so impressive that we may never see it again.

Week 5 shook up the standings in a big way.

The Blue Ballers struggled for a second straight week, allowing the Cosby Show to overtake them for the No. 2 seed. Back-to-back championship game appearances helped the Crooked Rooks climb above .500 for the first time all season — yes, you read that correctly — and leapfrog D-Generation X. And Who’s Your Daddy continued their impressive June, moving into sole possession of the No. 6 seed.

On what was arguably the windiest day in league history, it was appropriate that the Flying Turtles continued to soar.

Thanks to a dominant night from Ian O’Hare, the green team won their 12th consecutive game and 4th consecutive weekly championship.

Ian O’Hare and Skylar Burt have separated themselves as the top arms in the league through the first month of the season.

Behind them, a mix of former Cy Young winners and emerging aces have found their names near the top of the leaderboards. In a year where pitching has been strong across the board, the Cy Young race should be a fun one to monitor.

Everyone’s favorite day of the week. Happy GAME DAY!

We have movement in the middle of the Power Rankings after a rough week from the Blue Ballers and a championship appearance by the Crooked Rooks.

The Flying Turtles were dinged in the rankings after suffering a championship game loss in Week 1, but they have responded by winning nine games in a row. With a matchup between the Turtles and Cookie Monsters on deck to start Week 5, the Cookie Monsters know that recapturing their winter pool play magic and taking down the Turtles again would make a major statement.

Through the first month of games, Nolan Chasak has stood head and shoulders above the rest of the league on the offensive side of the ball.

But Nolan isn’t the only star to burst onto the scene this year. Anderson Collins and Austin Martin have both gotten off to stellar starts, exceeding expectations and helping propel their teams to early-season success.

The race for the top 4 seeds — and the playoff advantages they hold — tightened up this past week.

The Blue Ballers took a tumble, putting the Cosby Show right on their heels. A 2-1 week from the Crooked Rooks is putting pressure on D-Generation X, who appear to be cooling off after their hot start. And don’t look now, but the Cookie Monsters are forcing their way into the battle for a top seed.
