Parkland Arts

The Springhouse Middle School Honors Orchestra, Chorale, and Jazz Band traveled to Washington, D.C. in May. The students participated in clinics at The University of Maryland, performed at the World War II Memorial, toured multiple monuments, saw the national tour of The Music Man, visited the zoo, toured museums, and so much more!

Congratulations to Rene from Springhouse Middle School on her acceptance into the Young Musicians Debut Orchestra! YMDO introduces students to the world of symphonic orchestral repertoire, bringing together strings, winds, brass, and percussion. This ensemble is part of the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra Music Institute, the tri-state region’s premier youth orchestra organization for gifted young classical musicians, and one of the oldest and most highly regarded youth orchestra organiza­tions in the United States. We are so proud of you, Rene!

Congratulations to Iris from Springhouse Middle School on receiving a 2026 Schadt String Scholarship through the Allentown Symphony! These awards provide support for young string players of merit to pursue concentrated instrumental study under outstanding teachers, coaches, and conductors in a structured educational environment. We are so proud of you, Iris!
