This May, we welcomed representatives from Bike Smart Lehigh Valley to educate our Kindergarten students about bike safety! 🚲

Our students were so excited to try on helmets and got to take them home!

We are so beyond proud of recent 5th grade graduate, Leonice Diaz for her role in August Wilson’s Piano Lesson for the PA Shakespeare Festival! A number of staff showed their support and were blown away with her performance.

We can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish from here! Congratulations, Leonice! 💐🎭

As you know, we have applied to Bethlehem Area School District to propose a new, K-8 charter school (Community Charter School of the Arts) to open in the 2027-28 school year. Our next hearing at Bethlehem Area School District is this evening, Monday, June 15th, after their board meeting, at 7:30 pm. We welcome anyone who is available to show your support. Bethlehem residents are the only ones who can speak if you are available and interested.

The hearing will take place at East Hills Auditorium, 2005 Chester Road, Bethlehem.

We are thrilled to share the first part of this special 69 News segment highlighting an incredible art and cultural exchange made possible through the efforts of our Director of Arts Integration, Daniel Djuro-Goiricelaya!

Through this project, students from Arts Academy Elementary Charter School connected with students in Vieques, Puerto Rico, exchanging drawings and letters that explored and compared the habitats, animals, and environments of Pennsylvania and Vieques. Through art, storytelling, and curiosity, our students discovered both the unique qualities of their communities and the connections that bring us together.

We are so proud of our young artists for embracing this opportunity to learn from one another and celebrate the beauty of cultural exchange.

We’re very proud to have 38% of our student population attend school for 95% of the school year!

Today, we celebrated them with a luau! Thank you to our families for supporting their child’s education. And a big thank you to Maui Shave Ice for providing a cool summer treat! 🍧

Our Kindergarten students are officially graduated and moving up to first grade! 🎓 Thank you to our families for joining us this morning for our Moving Up ceremonies!
