Many of you know I am a big Ted Lasso fan! These leadership lessons are some that I have used in my work with school
leaders. They are spot on!

More than half of leaders globally say they feel used up at the end of the workday. 40% of those under high stress have considered stepping away from leadership entirely. And the instinct most leaders reach for when pressure mounts — performing certainty, projecting toughness, having all the answers — is exactly what makes it worse. Ted Lasso's approach is the opposite: lead with curiosity, stay authentic, be consistent whether you're winning or losing and build capacity in the people around you instead of becoming the hero they depend on. It sounds simple. It's actually discipline. And it's the kind of leadership that earns real trust instead of just compliance.

I am thrilled to be joining the Department of Social Foundations & Leadership Education at the University of North Georgia. I will be serving as an Adjunct Professor and will begin teaching courses this summer in the graduate level M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction.
