🏆 What Belongs in the Common App Honors Section?

The Common App allows students to list up to five honors or awards, making this a valuable opportunity to highlight achievements beyond grades and test scores.

Examples include:
⭐ Competition Awards
⭐ Student of the Month
⭐ National Merit Recognition
⭐ Athletic Awards
⭐ AP Scholar Awards
⭐ Department Awards
⭐ Honor Societies
⭐ Local, State, or National Awards

⚠️ Don’t list Honors classes. This section is for awards and recognition.

💡 Tip: Include the award name, what it recognizes, the level of recognition, and when you received it. Many students only list the title and miss the chance to explain its significance.

Lead with your strongest achievements and use every character wisely.
