Pulse Dance Company

We’re delighted to share that Pulse Founder & Executive/Artistic Director Stephanie Wonchala has been honored with a Rasmuson Sabbatical Award, recognizing her artistic leadership and valuable contributions to Alaska arts and culture over the past 17 years.

As Stephanie takes this well-earned time for creative renewal and exploration, long-time company member Kelsey Anderson will step into the role of Interim Director through the fall. Kelsey will continue carrying the organization’s mission forward while also serving as concert lead for the "Disco Nutcracker," premiering in December.

This season marks an exciting collaboration between two dedicated leaders whose shared commitment to the company and the arts in Anchorage will ensure its continued growth and artistic excellence. Please join us in congratulating Stephanie on this remarkable achievement, and in celebrating Kelsey’s expanded leadership position.

Spring has sprung and new choreography has BLOOMed! We were so thrilled to support and present seven choreographers' new works in Pulse presents: BLOOM, a choreographer showcase. The show was fantastic, the cast was a dream, and audiences brought wonderful energy. Thank you to everyone who came out to support local dance. 💝
