The second flavor in our custom flavor line up is brought to you by Lumen Christi High School!

We had big shoes to fill when creating this flavor! How so? Glad you asked!

Here’s basically how this flavor was created. “My favorite flavor is almond ice cream! Can you make it for us?” 😳

We did our best and while it may not be exactly their recipe, we did toast our almonds just like their recipe book said.

And then there were two!

It’s hard to find the right words to express how thankful we are for our incredible community.

When we launched our $500k fundraising campaign back in January to build two permanent exterior classrooms, we knew we had a steep hill to climb. But God is good, and the Lumen Christi community never disappoints!

Funding was secured in a little over two months and then it was just a waiting game for final permitting.

Yesterday, June 5th, under beautiful blue skies and with the first of many crews on hand, a new chapter in Lumen Christi history began.

By the start of our next academic year in August, our library will once again be a dedicated space for quiet reading, discovery, and imagination and we’ll have additional community space for meetings, fellowship and activities.

We can’t thank our dedicated parent lead volunteer (Jamie Boring/AIA General Contracting) enough. From planning to ex*****on, you have poured your time, energy, and love into making this vision a reality. Ryan Stanley, with your construction expertise and willingness to jump in - just know that we see your hard work, and we are so deeply grateful for you.

As the project progresses we know additional parents in the skilled trades will be stepping in to help - we’re additionally and equally grateful for you.

Celebrating the Class of 2026! 🎓 Last night’s Baccalaureate Mass brought together our Lumen Christi seniors and the graduates of St. Benedict Parish who attend other schools including Holy Rosary Academy, South High School, East High School, King Tech, among others. We even got to acknowledge college graduates from UAA and University of Mary. It was a wonderful night of faith and fellowship for all our parish families!
