Great turnout at our Rising Kinder Play date ! We are excited for these new penguins to begin next month! 🐧

On a lighter note, we are excited for our rising kindergarten families to join us for playdate on Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, on the LPES playground. This a floating event and opportunity to connect with families before the school year begins!

A possible teenager came onto campus just before noon, dropped their bike (see image), and stole one of our 4th grade students’ electric scooters.

Make sure to lock up your bikes/scooters! Thank you Cary Police Department for taking the incident report.

Today we celebrated our retirees during our morning staff meeting! 🎉

Congratulations to Ms. Grace, Ms. Killen, and Ms. Smith! Their dedication, compassion, and commitment have made a lasting impact on Laurel Park Elementary, and we are grateful for the countless ways they have helped our school grow and thrive over the years.

We wish them all the best as they begin this exciting new chapter of retirement; you have certainly earned it! 💙🐧

We started the day by clapping out our Track 1 5th graders!

It’s 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony day for Track 1! It had me reminiscing about my 5th grade year in Ms. Parker’s class at Durant Rd. Elementary in Raleigh. Here I am getting ready to go on an overnight field trip. 😜

Our sweet Track 1 5th-graders' last day of elementary school is Tuesday. Their families are invited to a Moving Up Ceremony on Tuesday, June 2, at 11 am in celebration! 🐧
