This season, the excitement of the Carolina Hurricanes made its way all through Peak Charter Academy!
From having members of the Hurricanes organization join our PE classes to teach skills and teamwork, to welcoming everyone's favorite mascot, Stormy, to campus, our scholars have loved cheering on the Canes every step of the way.
And yes… even after the school year ended and classrooms needed to be cleaned, we couldn't bring ourselves to take down our Hurricanes decorations. Call it school spirit or call it superstition—we weren't taking any chances! 😉
Congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes on bringing home the Stanley Cup! Thank you for inspiring our scholars with your hard work, perseverance, and teamwork both on and off the ice.

We're proud to partner with the Carolina Hurricanes and bring exciting opportunities and experiences to our scholars throughout the school year! As the Hurricanes continue their journey in the Stanley Cup Finals, our PEAK family is showing up in full support for Game 2.

Tomorrow, scholars are invited to wear their Hurricanes gear or red, white, and black tops with uniform or jean bottoms as we cheer on the Canes. While Game 1 didn't go our way, we know this team is built on determination, resilience, and heart—qualities we work to instill in our scholars every day!

A special shout-out to Thomas Whitmeyer for his ongoing support of our school and students. Through this partnership, he has become a valued part of the PEAK family, and we appreciate all he does to help connect our scholars with the Carolina Hurricanes organization.

🌟 A Special Shoutout to Mrs. Senator's First Grade Class! 🌟
At Peak Charter Academy, our students don't just learn about character—they bring it to life!
Mrs. Senator's first graders recently created a one-of-a-kind Moral Focus Book, filled with student-written stories, reflections, and illustrations that showcase the virtues they've learned throughout the year. From Respect and Courage to the many other Moral Focus traits, each page highlights how our young scholars understand and apply these important life lessons both in and out of the classroom.
We are so proud of the creativity, thoughtfulness, and hard work that went into this special project. A huge thank you to Mrs. Senator for providing her students with such a meaningful opportunity to combine writing, art, and character development into a keepsake they can be proud of for years to come!

Our 7th grade scholars in Ms. Mullich’s Writing Workshop: Children’s Book elective have been hard at work bringing their creativity to life!

This quarter, students were challenged to create their very own children’s books completely from scratch. From developing meaningful themes and lessons for young readers, to planning storyboards, writing author biographies, and illustrating each page with drawings, color, and paint — every detail was thoughtfully created by our scholars.

Today, our middle school authors proudly shared their finished books with 1st and 2nd grade scholars, and tomorrow they’ll continue the experience by reading to Kindergarten! We are so proud to offer electives that encourage creativity, leadership, collaboration, and real-world learning experiences for our middle school students. Great job, scholars, and a special thank you to Ms. Mullich for inspiring our young authors! 👏📖
