Dyslexia is difficult, but can be made much easier to live with if you have the right tools.

06/19/2026

I want you to think about every remarkable person you know who thinks differently.

The ones who see solutions no one else sees. Who build things from nothing. Who feel everything more deeply. Who ask questions that make everyone else stop and reconsider.

Chances are, more than a few of them have a brain that once made school feel impossible.

Dyslexia is not a deficit of intelligence.

It is a difference in the way the brain routes information — specifically in the pathways responsible for connecting letters to sounds automatically. That difference makes reading hard.

It does not make greatness hard.

In fact, research has shown that dyslexic brains demonstrate significantly stronger abilities in areas like spatial reasoning, creative thinking, big-picture processing, and entrepreneurial problem solving.

The struggle your child is experiencing right now is real. I would never minimize that.

But it is not the whole story.

It is the first chapter.

And the moment your child gets the right neurological support — the kind that actually rebuilds the reading pathway instead of working around it — the story changes completely.

Different becomes fluent.
Fluent becomes confident.
Confident becomes extraordinary.

That is not hope. That is what we see inside this program every single day.

Comment WEBINAR below and I’ll send you my free 45-minute webinar — so you can see exactly what that transformation looks like. 💛

Tools in a toolbox — Eureka Tutoring 06/12/2026

I don't know how, but my job just keeps getting better!

Tools in a toolbox — Eureka Tutoring Working with a student yesterday I explained that filling his toolbox is what we are doing together at each session. Dyslexic learners need DIFFERENT tools than non-dyslexic learners and it’s the joy of my work to bring them to my students. I showed this box to most of my students this week. T

Recently, Tom Holland was on Good Hang with Amy Poehler talking about his experiences with dyslexia, and he made many amazing comments, but this simple sentence stood out to me. He didn’t say, “I was dyslexic.” He didn’t say, “I outgrew dyslexia.” He simply said, “I’m dyslexic.”

I was nodding in agreement as I listened along, because if you are dyslexic or are the parent of a child with dyslexia, you know dyslexia is lifelong.

Intervention can improve reading skills, support can improve outcomes, and accommodations can create access, but dyslexia doesn’t disappear.

That’s an important reminder for parents, educators, and even adults with dyslexia because it changes the goal! The goal is to help people understand their strengths and challenges, develop effective strategies, and access the supports they need to thrive beyond school.

This is also why accommodations matter. We shouldn’t think of accommodations as something children use temporarily until they “get better.” Accommodations are tools that create access. For some people, they may be needed in school. For others, in college. For others, throughout their careers and everyday lives.

Tom Holland is one of the most successful actors in the world, and yet he still openly acknowledges he needs accommodations! He’s been asked to host Saturday Night Live a few times and turned each ask down because reading the handwritten cue cards triggers a mental block. We hope Saturday Night Live will provide some accommodations for those cue cards….I know a few dyslexia advocates and kids with dyslexia who would love to see Tom Holland host and be accommodated!

Dyslexia is lifelong, and access should be too.
